Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Thunder Bay

I left when you were in a transition of accounting/billing of some sort. I'm still awaiting my final bill. You weren't able to issue it at time of departure. I can see the amounts that went through on my Visa card but they don't exactly match up with what I was expecting when I checked out. It may have been because I extended my stay till about 3:30 p.m. (flight was delayed). I accepted that I would be charged an extra night for those hours of extension on May 4. Kaitlon assisted me and Elissa. Two amounts were mentioned that I should expect to see charged: $285.04 and $468.90. Michael Hetherington.

- parking lot was good (safe parking) - the swimming pool & hot tub were working - the swimming pool had a salt water feel to it. (Not overly chlorinated like some other hotels) - the beds were comfortable - the breakfast was good, but there was no hot food options (ie: egg / sausages) other than hard boiled egg & machine pancakes.

- there were no pool towels available in the pool

On the second night of our stay the power went out for fourty five minutes. This made us late to our family function as we could not get ready. Sunday morning when I went to check out and asked for receipt I was told computers were down and that they would email me my receipt. It’s now two weeks later and I have not received receipt. I’ve tried calling multiple times and have not been able to speak to anyone at the hotel. I am not impressed and would like to be compensated accordingly.

We had to find arrangements on short notice and were able to get two nights at the Days Inn. Breakfast was included and the pool was open. Room was excellent. Staff were very polite and accommodating our needs. Restaurants close by were perfect for our dinner needs as well.

No complaints. Only compliments from us regarding this stay.

The staff was welcoming as soon as we walked in the lobby, service was quick, & friendly. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable & the jacuzzi was AMAZING . It was a continental breakfast with a pancake maker, fresh fruit, yogurts, cereal, toast, coffee & juice. Perfect for the light breakfast eaters. Overall we had a great stay, and we would definitely return!

Very centrally located to all of the activities we were doing in Thunder Bay this weekend. We felt like the pool area was kept very clean as per covid regulations. This days inn was pretty much what one would expect out of any days inn.

My only slight disappointment about this property was the cleanliness of the room. This is the first time my family has stayed in a hotel since pre-covid pandemic, and I expected everything to be extra super cleaned, but there was still what you would expect of any 3 star, run-of-the-mill hotel in an average stay (ie, bits of cheese in the fridge, grime on the bathroom walls, dust on non- high touch surfaces, etc) So overall this was a good place, with a great location, amazing staff, great infrastructure and average cleaning.

For the price you pay, I think the breakfast should have more than what it has. I would've like to see more hot meals. My friend was not a fan of the cold eggs. Location of the kitchen was fine.

Maybe the cold eggs at the continental breakfast, would've like to see more fruit.

All of the staff from front desk to housekeeping were very friendly. The front desk staff were super helpful and very nice. The room was lovely, although the in-room coffee was terrible (but the coffee at the front desk was great, so no worries). We enjoyed our time in the hot tub/pool area. Great location - lots of good restaurants within walking distance. Easy to get to if not familiar with the area.

I feel like the price point was too high for the hotel. That is my only criticism. We really enjoyed our stay.

Room and beds were fine. There was a large group of bikers but they were no problem at all.

Breakfast wasn't much really. The air conditioners were noisy, we unplugged ours but the neighbors left theirs on for a while at night but eventually turned theirs off too, thankfully.

The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. There was a fridge and coffee maker in the room. The breakfast had a nice variety of food.

The ice machine on our floor and the main floor were out of order. The hot tub was also out of order.
