Ace Motel

The location was great, staff were helpful and accommodating, felt safe, good air conditioning! Nice that we had a small microwave in the room and other amenities.

There was a boil water warning in effect so they didn’t supply ice, we thought they could’ve brought bagged ice in and bottled water as we couldn’t use the water unless we boiled it first. We found the bed too soft. The sheer curtains in the room needed to be shortened as they hung over the air conditioner alternating with the heating system.

The only reason I didn’t give a 10 it’s because the door doesn’t have a chain . I have to say I have had an unpleasant experience when a elderly gentleman opened the door but this happened because I didn’t lock it completely- my fault. I phoned the office guy and he explained me why the person was able to enter the room saying he used the door card. Otherwise I would say everything was clean and the staff is very friendly, approachable and professional.

This motel is conveniently located at the main highway access to Princton, and was reasonably quiet given the location. We found it exceptionally clean, with most of the amenities we needed. We were given a pet-friendly corner unit. Rooms with kitchenettes are available. There is a pleasant riverside walk across the street and down 1 block for dog-walking. Thomasina's cafe down the main road is worth a visit.

A small kettle would be a nice addition. The parking lot is small, so you may not be able to park in front of your unit, and the pet-friendly unit is tucked in the back without its own parking area.

The room and the bathroom were very clean and fresh. The bed was extremely comfortable. The young man who checked me in carried my luggage upstairs - it is clearly an old motel but well maintained inside.

For me, it was the stairs up to my room as I wear braces on my ankles, but I managed, and was pleased at the cleanliness and comfort of the room.

Squeaky clean, nicely remodeled. Comfy beds. Quiet and relaxing.

It was difficult to get to the alcove in the room where the table, chairs, coffee maker etc was, the foot of the bed was just a few inches from a wall corner. We had to move the beds to access the area. There was no nightstand for one of the beds, but we used a chair and it worked fine.

Convenient place to stop on a crossing of B.C. Motel is well-managed and clean. There appears to have been some renovating done. Rooms are really small and parking tight, but the kitchenette was useful and the location fine. I’m retired, so all hotels cost too much IMHO. However, this one is the cheapest you’re going to find in Princeton and good value if you look at all options.

More room for parking. That’s about it. I will stay there again in a week.

The motel is clearly a little older, but the room was newly renovated and spotlessly clean. Even though it is right on the main drag it was reasonably quiet, and certainly convenient. Furniture is not new but clean and comfortable and more than serviceable. The lad we dealt with at check in was super helpful, friendly and professional...a genuinely nice young man. Parking in the lot is at a premium but there is more than sufficient safe, well lit and convenient street parking.

The mattress in our room was clearly nearing it's best before date...there was a bit of dip in the middle that we kept sliding into. It wasn't yucky at all nor smelly nor really bad, just a tad tired. As budget and time permits, I would recommend that this mattress be pushed up the list for replacement.

Location is excellent. Signage a little tricky. We had to ask where it was because it is so small you don't really see it. Rooms are very clean, and beds super comfortable. It is quiet. We all had a good sleep.

The office was not open when we arrived and other guests did not know where the staff were. They wanted to get in to get ice. We phoned the number on the door and after about five minutes someone came. I think they should have had a bigger sign on the door, saying something like 'we are on the property but helping with housekeeping. Call this number.' Once there they were super friendly and super efficient.

The motel was ideal for our purposes. The staff were friendly and efficient, the location central, the room clean and comfortable and it was very reasonably priced.

Like many Brits, we drink more tea than coffee and a kettle would have been welcome. Excellent coffee making facilities though!

Nicely reno'd rooms. Very clean; you could tell a lot of attention was paid to cleanliness and there were nice little touches like a lovely backboard for the bed. Nice new washroom as well. Quiet property also.

My only wish was for a side table between the beds. There was no lamp in easy reach of the bed, and I had to charge my cellphone in the kitchenette
