Hotel Quartier Latin

It was in a central location, it was well decorated throughout. The staff that we dealt with were extremely helpful. The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed and great en-suite bathroom facilities. The air-con was a real bonus during the period we stayed there. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of hot and cold options. We were in Marche during the Marche 1900 festivities ( we didn’t realise this was on) and had concerns re: noise at night but the room had good sound proofing even though we were directly above the square.

It would have been great to have the pool included in the price of the room but at 5 euro pp for 2 hours it was a very good deal.

Wonderful young lady at reception . Works here part-time and as an English/Turkish teacher full time . Exceedingly helpful and friendly. Made our reception very fast and easy . Excellent bicycle storage in underground garage . Elevator to rooms. Really clean and bright room . Lots of storage in the room . Excellent on-site restaurant with reasonable price point . Very good breakfast with multiple food choices.

Hard to find a problem .

Beautiful building with fabulous courtyard area for evening meals and drinks - weather permitting. Lots of facilities inside with equally nice restaurant area. Food in the restaurant was extremely good although pricey. Good breakfast. Great location for exploring the Ardennes.

Our room had a disappointing outlook which was a shame as most rooms overlook the courtyard and looked great. The water container for the coffee machine was not cleaned properly.

Staff was very nice, although there were a few hiccups when checking-in that were quickly resolved. As we visited during Covid, we were asked to choose what we wanted for breakfast in a big room and then take the trays to the room. Breakfast had a sufficient selection. It was possible to request scrambled and fried eggs in the moment. The room was set up to have a meal there, which was quite thoughtful given the circumstances. We also tried the massages in the Spa, which were very nice. The surroundings of the hotel were quite pleasent, Marche en Famenne is a pleasant little town but with a lot of offer in terms of restaurants.

Decoration of the rooms is maybe a bit outdated. It was not that easy to take the breakfast trays to the room, perhaps some other solution could have been considered (e.g. a staff member with a cart to do it for us).

Location, rooms, staff and spa facilities were great. Central location and the option to rent bikes at the hotel makes it easy to get around this small town. The receptionist Celine was very kind and made me feel welcome and spoke to me in english since my french is very patchy :-). The spa is really nice with a wide range of massage and treatments available. Highly recommend the masseuse Marie, who was very professional and friendly.

Unfortunately owing to Corona restrictions it makes it less of a star hotel experience and less value for money. I wish there were some complimentary benefits included in the price (e.g. free bike rental or some reduced spa package for residents)

It was a lovely hotel. The room was large and comfortable. They even had robes and slippers in the room. The breakfast was great with many good options. I did not use the spa but it seems like it was very nice. the hotel is in the downtown area and you could walk around the charming city. I highly recommend this hotel.

The staff was so friendly and welcoming. We had free parking space, elevator, many restaurants and bars around the hotel. The best part was the working AC in the room. It was about 34°C outside and our room cooled us down instantly. The city and the hotel felt like being next to the ocean without being even close to it.

There is nothing to dislike to be honest.

The Twin Bed setting wasn't really comfortable, as one of the beds had literally a Wall-lamp just at the place where your head in the pillow. Too many people at once in the Spa. Had sometimes to wait a bit to use the facilities

great welcome from reception they even put up with my appalling french. restaurant service excelkent caroline looked after me . room nice and a dry garage to store my motorcycle highly recommended. good wifi

I liked the location in the middle of town, yet it was well-insulated from any disturbing noise. I chose the gourmet meal option in the dining room and was very pleased.

I arrived by bicycle and felt pressure to put it in the locked storage area for bicycles - for which the charge is EUR 10.
