Bayview Motel

For budget accommodation the room was perfectly fine, outdated and nothing special but had everything we needed. A short walk into the town centre. We stayed for 2 nights in a family room, situated at the back of the motel which was great as it was quiet and off the main road. A queen and single bed in the main room (reasonably sized) and the second (smaller) room with 2 single beds and was clean and tidy. The addition of a full size fridge was great (we didn't need it but if staying for a week or so over summer it would be perfect!). The staff were very friendly and helpful and happy to help with any requests we had during our stay.

Overall the room was very clean however there was quite a bit of mould build-up on some of the shower tiles. A good scrub by housekeeping would remove it but it was a bit off-putting. There was also no lock on the bathroom door.

The location was great, walking distance to the main parts of town that a visitor would like to go to. The staff were friendly, approachable with nothing to difficult to help with. Very good to see, made it very comfortable.

The ability to cook in the room was limited, however I still managed to make very simple meals. Staff were more than happy to assist cleaning the BBQ area after use. It was very clean.

I didn’t know about the breakfast. Was it supposed to be included? If so, we weren’t told about it at check in. I was happy with the room.I especially loved how it had a toaster, microwave, crockery, cutlery and extra towel rails in the bathroom. I like how the fridge was bigger than we expected. I think this motel deserves a 3.5 star. The only thing letting it down is it’s dated but not terrible.

Some parts of the room were dusty but overall it was good. The freezer was dirty and had a couple large chunks of ice so when it was self defrosting it caused the melted ice to flood the fridge. I eventually just put a towel in there to absorb it.

Loved our stay here, ended up staying an extra 2 nights. Probably the best place we stayed throughout our entire roadtrip. Room was super clean, comfortable, and large. Even though the fixtures were dated, they have been well taken care of and well-cleaned. BBQ facilities included a regular stovetop so you could cook in a regular pan (they provided all BBQ equipment). Laundry lines came with more than enough pegs to hang up clothes. Overall a well-cared for property which we really enjoyed.

* A traditional single level motel with adequate parking right in front of your room. This is always good. * Staff, both management and room cleaning, were friendly and helpful. * In our room the bathroom had been recently completely renovated and was spotlessly  clean.

* The window in our room was completely sealed meaning the ONLY way to get fresh air was to have the door open, and the door didn't have a screen. I note that quite a few other rooms "appeared" to have old style opening windows but I can't guarantee this.

Milk, tea and coffee provided - fabulous. Great to be able to have a cuppa before locating the supermarket. Good little kitchenette. Bed was comfy. Good water pressure and temp in the shower. They let me store my bag before check-in and then again after checkout. Whilst the complex was busy, it was pretty quiet.

Price was a little high but tbh one of the cheaper places in town.

the property was lovely, clean and tidy, although the bathroom is old, it’s still clean and presented well. enough cups / plates ect, beds were very comfortable and we were very happy with our stay, staff were very lovely, very accessible to the Forshore.

the bathroom needing a Reno to come up with the times but other then that it was the laundry prices that were a bit steep, given that other places were free where we have stayed.

The customer service by Shallen and Jasmine was excellent. Great location.

Cleaners were regular and mostly good, some improvements eg if washing dishes, do them all. When cleaning bathroom there was a piece of rubbish left in the recess from prior occupants, broke a phone charge cable, didn't swap the face washer.

The location is very good , awesome reception service room was clean and spacious. We were in town for medical reasons so it was close to the hospital. We would stay there again and I'd recommend it too.

We didn't like the man sitting outside on the bench in between our rooms having a smoke. It came into our room as we were moving our luggage . The bed was a lot firmer than we're used to so we'd bring an eggshell next time.

Location was good, 5min to shops, 3min to esplanade and shore park. Bed was comfortable. Room was big enough for 3 nights. All was very clean.

Kitchenette was a bit on the small side and didn’t have a sink. So, washing up after self-made breakfast had to be done at the bathroom basin.
