Poachers Paradise

The location was fabulous, short walk to restaurants. Kerry and Greg (owners) were very friendly, very helpful and courteous. The facilities in the room catered for all tastes. Owners were very thoughtful ie No sachet coffee but a jar of premium coffee. A jug to fill kettle up. Foxtel tv channels. Large shower with plenty of pressure. The bed was very comfortable, the unit was lovely and quiet and thus easy to sleep in. Easy access, to shops, parks, & golf course. Finaly, the unit was lovely and clean in fact spotless. Excellent value

We liked everything, about Poachers Paradise.

It is a very well presented, spotlessly clean unit. The recent addition of fly screen doors gives the option of fresh air to the unit, while still enjoying privacy. Parking at the door, nice well tended BBQ area, with shade and outdoor furniture, extra tables and chairs also on a lawned area. Great location, a short walk through a laneway to Main Street. Smooth check in and owners on hand to answer any queries.

We've stayed here a number of times and for the rate charged, presentation of the room and the pleasant staff we have no complaints.

The room was a very good size. Plenty of space to sit or snack. The en-suite was large with plenty of space for my wife and I to have all our toiletries.The shower was great with lots of hot water. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The location of the motel was great backing onto a hotel which was on the main street. The motel was also only a short walk to many places to eat.

No really a motel problem, but staying on a Monday night was not great with respect to the number of restaurants open. Parking was readily available, but our allocated spot was in front of the adjacent unit. Not a big issue, but just a little strange.

Very central location in Rutherglen. It's an a short walk to restaurants, cafes and shops. Good facilities in the spacious room (plates, tea/coffee, microwave, kettle). Good size TV with Foxtel.

Rutherglen can get cold overnight in late May and the bathroom was chilly first thing in the morning! The main room was however well served by reverse cycle heating.

Staff are extremely friendly and were in communication prior to our stay answering all our questions. Comfortable family room. Liked that it was 2 rooms too and the main room was large enough that we didn't feel cramped as a family of 4. Positioned behind the Poachers Paradise Hotel with quick access to the main street of Rutherglen.

The room was spacious and very quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable. All the appointments in the room were of a high standard. Even the bath towels were large and fluffy! Also the internet was good - The location was perfect - at the rear of the Main Street with a short walk down a lane to the best coffee shop and bakery in Rutherglen. My wife and I travel a lot for work and we are fussy but we couldn’t fault this place.

Can’t say there were any negatives at all.

Clean spacious units. I was pleasantly surprised as it exceeded my expectations especially for the price. The unit had all the facilities my family and I needed. The staff were absolutely AMAZING. They were both extremely welcoming and made sure we were all set up and comfortable as well as remembering where we had travelled from and our names the day after when we were departing. Excellent service

The staff were knowledgeable about the area and great places to eat and things to do. It was well located right in the heart of town The room was clean and comfortable and had a toaster and microwave as well as the usual kettle

Seamless booking, friendly efficient welcome, close proximity to shops restaurants, tourist information, venues for some wine tasting. All in walking distance. Bonus, option to have self catering continental breakfast if desired.

There wasn't anything we didn't like, our second stay and we will return. Highly recommend, excellent for a very reasonable price.

Right in town, walk through to the Rutherglen Hotel dining room and then the main shopping/restaurant strip. Receptionist could not be more helpful. She unlocked the shed for us to put our bikes away for the night and then had it open again when we were ready to go in the morning. Motel Room and bathroom were large and comfortable.
