Castle Motel Bairnsdale

The extreme cleanliness when I first arrived. Reception was easy to find, well signed through out the property, The onsite parking works and is easier to park, leave & return without needing to park in tight spaces. The garden oasis felt a world away, even though it is a tucked in nook. Very relaxing & peaceful. My room was an exceptional surprise and a lot larger than I expected. The spa was in its own room, bathroom off the kitchenette/closet room. Door to my room was open ready for my arrival which was a welcome breath of fresh air, no fumbling and dropping luggage trying to unlock a door, I easily walked in and put my luggage down and that in itself relieved more stress than I can say!!! the towel sets for each spa room & bathroom was also an added surprise, no need to bring towels and bath mat from one room to another. overall I give 6 star rating for Kansas City Motel, they really have gone above and beyond to ensure the happiness of their guests, and to make sure they have a relaxed and peaceful positive experience while staying. Rates were reasonable, and I was given a late checkout (2pm) for a small fee. very pleased!! Thankyou, Natalie

Nothing to not like. Was perfect, close to the town center, supermarkets only a few minutes walk, as close to the center of town as you would want to get

I've stayed here before and whilst it's not fancy per se, it is very comfortable, very clean and well positioned - particularly for the price as Bairnsdale is never that cheap. Bonus, the shower was very good (good water pressure). I would definitely stay again with all these factors.

Air con/heating is a bit noisy but not the end of the world, didn't really bother me - may if you're super noise sensitive. Check in staff were quick and efficient however English I presume is second language so when I asked questions, I didn't get much info - but then that's what Google can help with (Google answers everything lol).

Even though the Motel was on the main highway I could not really hear the sound of traffic. Parking in front of the door was great and the room was neat, clean and comfortable with enough space to relax. Also being on the main highway/street meant that access to the main shopping areas was pretty convenient.

The shower curtain - I prefer a screen. But it was a good quality curtain that did not try to "stick to me" when using the shower. Secondly the shower head was one of the large "rainfall" type. Over the last 15 years I have used a water saver type on a flexible hose. The rainfall type seems to waste a fair bit of water, but is seen by many as a luxury item.

the room was clean, it had a spa bath and the water was nice and hot. the pillows were a bit high for me, so if you need a low or softer pillow bring your own. the reception guy was amazing and so friendly, he made check in and out an absolute breeze

I couldn’t get the heater working, but it was warm enough it wasn’t needed

The jacuzzi was absolutely fantastic in every way, the gentleman who was there running the place was very helpful and polite, the room was very clean and the bed was very warm and comfy that we could have just stayed there for a lot longer. No problems at all with the place.

Because the charge was so low, we were happily surprised at the size and level of comfort. As well as the standard facilities, there was a desk, small kitchen and a large pleasantly furnished room.

One tap had a slight drip. The very helpful staff were happy to have it fixed immediately.

The price was very affordable. The receptionist was most welcoming and couldn’t do enough to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Shower was excellent, loved the shower head and the water flow.

There was nothing not to like, our needs were adequately addressed as was value for money paid.

My sister and I had an overnight stay at the Kansas City Motel and were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean, the aircon kept us warm. Loved the electric blankets and lovely hot shower. We thought the rooms were a bit dated, but hey, everything worked like it should and we were very comfortable.

Old and dated motel but very clean and tidy. Beds, pillow and linen very good. Room large. Bathroom and kitchen are combined - had all needs ie small fridge, microwave toaster kettle cups, glasses etc. Although on the main road there was easy access and drive through. It was quiet. Easy walking to restaurant for meals and cafes for breakfast. Good price

Close to Bairnsdale town, walking distance to just about everything you need, clean room, very accommodating (new) owners. We couldn’t get a ‘pet’ room, but we were able to leave our dogs in the car, out the front of our room. Usually a very quiet stay
