Beach Hotel

Loved the inclusive breakfast. Liked that the room could be cleaned each day, if required. Location excellent & the noise of the 'port' was minimal with the glazing. Comfy bed. Towels & toiletries replaced when asked for. Apart from the abruptness of the receptionist on arrival all the other staff were very nice.

Arrived at the agreed check in time to be told that the room wasn't ready & wouldn't be for another 2 hours. Said it would have been nice to have been advised by any communication method. Meant we had to change all our plans for the day. We weren't offered storage for our luggage in the mean time either. I actually thought the washing machine would be in the room, not a communal one.

Fantastic accommodation, and value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great value for money and very clean and comfortable. The room facilities are great with good heater, modern comfortable bed/bathroom. Fully stocked mini bar is a welcome surprise since most hotels don't bother at all these days! Alcohol and non alcoholic drinks, nuts, chips, snacks etc available. And complimentary high quality tea coffee (sachet fancy coffees like cappuccino, caramel latte etc.) and good hot chocolate - also a rarity! most places just give you blend 43, cheap tea and no hot choc. And complimentary Tim Tams! The breakfast was fantastic as well, real milk, cereal, toast, jams, honey, Vegemite, muffin etc. And generous portions and serving. Will definitely stay again next work or leisure trip.

Can't say anything bad about it, smells a little funky in the entrance way but it is an old building and its not bad! The room, facilities and hospitality more than make up for it! Majority of big city modern hotels could learn a thing or two from Beach Hotel on an enjoyable stay and room facilities/complimentary tea/coffee/hot choc, breakfasts and value for money etc.

Free breeky nothing fancy or anything but still quite good. The cleaning team does a really good job one of the cleanest I've been too. Tv can be tricky to operate but hey I'm not australian or much of a telly guy Highly recommend if your in bernie stay here you won't regret it

Room 8 u couldn't change the room temp the box thing was broken room 7 was great could set the room temperature to 30 and enjoy and room 8 door kept on making little noises when the fan was on for some reason

the outside of the hotel does not do justice to the gem inside. they are obviously doing upgrades and even once I was inside and walking down the halls my expectations were not high but once I opened the room I was impressed! lots of space in the room and the bathroom. the bed was soooo comfy, continental breakfast provided and a great modern laundry available for use. added to all this was friendly and approachable staff willing to help whenever they could. definitely value for money

Signage for the accommodation was hard to find and at first we came through the public bar this may put some people or families off.

Wow! We were pleasantly surprised. The rooms have recently been renovated so it was clean and comfortable for our little family. Breakfast provisions were a plenty, staff were great and steaks in the bistro delicious. We would 100% stay again

If I had to nit pick - The bin in the bathroom in our room wasn't emptied which was full of sanitary products. The shower had a bit of mould in the bottom seals. The beds were a bit lumpy and uncomfortable

Good sized room, bright, clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast delivered to our room the evening before, toaster in the room. We were upgraded to a bigger room on arrival. Handy for dinner downstairs in the pub.

A bit noisy to start with because of location above a pub but quiet once the pub closed at night, we were there on a Friday night. Needed another luggage rack for a second suit case.

My room was very boxy, no table and chair so I couldn't work int heir., the ceiling light blew during the night and with no external window light that was interesting. All in all it was fine. The bistro was well priced and service and food both great. i did find it hard parking the ute a the back parking area was squishy.

my room had no natural light and if I opened the window for airflow you had every heat pump noise.

Excellent breakfast. Bathroom spotless. Nothing lacking with provisions. Staff friendly.

When dining in the Bistro, I had to leave my meal to wait at the bar for another glass of wine. No table service which surprised me, given the excellent menu and food presentation. No instructions at the bar to advise no table service and that everything was to be ordered at the bar, including a table to dine at. A lady behind the bar didn't know that a Chardonnay is a white wine. She asked, "Is that a white or red?' As mentioned, the food choice and quality was excellent in my opinion.

One of the best accommodation i have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in many 5 star properties and this was up there amongst them. Room very large and modern, great extras like hot chocolate, Tim Tam biscuits, Nescafe coffee sachets etc, spotlessly clean. Right in the heart of burnie cbd. Lovely staff. Very very generous included continental breakfast. Fantastic all around.

I loved every thing about this place, bar the staff that served in the gaming section. He was quite rude and it was like we were a bother that he had to serve us. A smile and a cheery disposition would have been great.

Location is excellent, as a base to explore numerous attractions that surround the area.great for young and older people to see the little penguins in their natural environment. All the staff are friendly and helpful with any enquiries you may have.

Lots of noise at night, but it's a hotel not a motel. Parking is not available all the time,better at evening.
