Oaks Hervey Bay Resort and Spa

The size of the room was great. Large kitchen. View of the pool/ocean. Pools were lovely, beautiful temperature. Loved the large balcony.

There was little supervision in the pool area, on a number of occasions we saw guests with glass and they were old enough to know better. Guests also smoking / vaping in the pool area. Noise from the walkways outside the room travels into the rooms.

Had a pool view. The location and value for money cannot be argued. Nice and spacious with super comfy couches, great for spending time with a bigger group/family. Worth spending a bit extra to stay here than to go to a motel for sure.

Pool being out of order, hair ball in shower (despite amazing cleaning standards for their bathrooms apparently) and holes in curtains (makes the place feel cheap). Pool was out of order and obody was able to say for how long they would be out of order. How to get to reception was not clear and after following signs around was stopped by a door that could only be opened with a key card. Had to call reception to get let in.

We were incredibly grateful for the generous upgrade from single pool view room to ocean view apartment. It was very clean and well equipped. The location is excellent with a short walk to the waterfront, pier and local cafes. The staff were exceptional.

The bed was very, very soft and quite uncomfortable so didn't get a good nights sleep and were quite sore the next day. The air con is in the main sitting area so the bedrooms have to have their doors open to get the benefit of the air con. There are some signs of wear and tear but nothing that caused issue.

The staff were amazing - wanted to add an extra night to our stay at short notice and the staff were more than happy to accommodate us and even shuffled bookings around so we could keep the same room.

The pool facilities were great, but there was a lack of shade / undercover areas to shelter from the sun and weather when sitting out of the pool watching the little kids swim and play. Probably could use some extra coverage to make it that little bit more enjoyable.

Preparedness of Oaks staff to offer an upgraded room ( but aircon not working) at a reduced price so we could still have a room when Booking.com had overbooked and taken our money, but there wasn't actually a room available at the price advertised.

No fly screen doors on access to balcony area. Doors had to be left open at night as we didn't have working aircon.

Great position, friendly helpful staff. Fantastic restaurants and cafes in close proximity. The room was more than big enough for the 3 of us. The facilities were a bit dated but quite clean. The water pressure in the shower was amazing. It was our second stay at The Oaks, and we'll definitely be back.

The main bathroom ceiling had visible faint mould marks. The bottom of the electric kettle was rusty, you couldn't use it due to the taste. We only discovered this late at night and did report it to staff, who were rectifying it as we left.

Great apartment, very large, kitchen was well equipped. Balcony was clean with lots of chairs & large table. We were upgraded to a 2 bed apartment , great secure parking. Close to the boardwalk and eating facilities. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

Kitchen needs a small sharp knife and proper dishcloth but everything else was great, even a large chopping board was appreciated. Step into spa with no glass or shower curtain is no good for lots of people, including us, even though we are fit and healthy 70 year olds. We used the 2nd bathroom which had a great large walk in shower and great vanity bench space, so all good.

We only stayed one night a The Oaks Hervey Bay ,we found it very comfortable .We were given a pool view apartment on the first level . The Apartment was nice, well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very nice too. We would definitely go back for a longer stay next time but would go with a sea view apartment up higher as we found where we were ,our outside patio is looked into from above and there is not much of a view. There are two places to eat attached to the complex. Salt Café is the best place to eat for Breakfast and Lunch & Bayswater

It was a little disappointing that the pool was out of commission. Our patio view was an empty pool. Bayswater Restaurant attached to the resort is very hit and miss, our food was very disappointing. We had the Rump Steak and Seafood basket . There were a lot of lovely looking pizzas being ordered on the night we were there at a different section ,in hindsight we should have ordered pizza I think! . I don't think the floor had been washed in the apartment between bookings as there were sticky drips on the floor like someone had dripped softdrink or an ice block across it

Not sure where to start. Presentation when walking into the resort was (and always is), fantastic. It smelt and looked clean. The staff were all so helpful, polite and professional which believe it or not is what makes your stay! The apartments were clean and so comfortable to stay in. The Oaks Hervey Bay Resort and Spa has quickly become our favourite place to stay when we stop into Hervey Bay. I only wish we stayed longer every time! Great location and great facilities.

Staff at Oaks resort where very friendly, helpful great customer service booked 3 nights I'd have say Oaks one of the best resorts I've stayed at that's coming from Melbourne great location close to cafes restraunts and the beach the pool was awesome and resort was very family oriented which was great and resort views by ocean where great.

Can't fault use use where great and the manager should reward there great staff
