The Wellington Apartment Hotel

Location was great, close to everything, room was clean and had everything we needed. The room was well priced for what we got.

Interior and furniture is a little dated. Wouldn't be comfortable for a long term stay.

We enjoyed the setting, especially the views from the balcony, the comfortable beds and furniture. Public transport links were pretty good, but with hindsight, we should have visited the main Tourist information office sooner, to ask for the relevant local bus timetables. Brisbane is a busy, but interesting city, with plenty of variety & expanding public transport links. We can recommend Miramar Cruises, for their excellent guided river journey & visit to the amazing Lone Pine Reserve upstream.

We had already spent 2 nights at the property at the beginning of a month's holiday in Australia, but hadn't done any cooking. When we returned to the property at the end of the stay, we were a little bit limited by there only being 2 electric rings in the kitchen area & very nearly got caught out by a smoke alarm scare, which could have been avoided if the instructions in the room had been more consistent - hopefully that will have been attended to, by the time I submit this, so may not be as relevant.

Very large king room, good facilities - large TV, kitchen, fridge, air-con. lounge chairs, very comfy bed with firm pillows. Very quiet. Good view of city. Swimming pool and sun baking area. Free parking, a real plus for Brisbane! Across the road from the Shafston Hotel - great steaks! - and an IGA and coffee shop. Close to the city. Friendly check in man. Very clean and modern building and easy to access with swipe key.

Small thing - not so easy to get out of the driveway in peak hour traffic. Can really only go into left lane as it is a one way street. We did this, but it wasn't enough to put us off ever staying here again.

It suited our needs perfectly. We needed to stay overnight following an appointment in Brisbane. We wanted something within walking distance of appointment location, that had secure parking and preferably a kitchenette so we could make brekkie. It was a large room space with a big spa bath too. It had double glass doors on the balcony which definitely reduced any traffic noise. It was absolutely spot on for us.

The only thing it was missing was a toaster and a the TV wasn’t ‘smart’ - ie didn’t have apps so we couldn’t log in to Prime or Netflix.

LOCATION is PERFECT!! Easy access to the motorways both north and south and so accessible to the Gabba, city, Valley and New Farm by car, scooter or citycat. Free parking was a nice convenience. Local IGA supermarket in walking distance and two great parks close by. Great coffee shops, restaurants, places for brunch and take away within easy walking distance. Catching the citycat to Eat Street Markets and New Farm farmers markets on the weekend was fun. We also caught the citycat into South Bank and the city to visit the museum. The rooms were clean, spacious and fresh. Staff were excellent. Super helpful and friendly. Has been one of our favorite places to stay. Will definitely be telling our friends about this hidden gem and we will be staying again.

The location was the best. Very close to the main HWY if you want to travel to the Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast. The Hotel is also just 10 min away from some parking spots close to Southbank, where you can enjoy a lovely evening. The covered parking is a good thing because you never know when a storm may fall in Brisbane

Pleasantly surprised with the Wellington. A great location, very comfy King Bed and a good, hot shower. Staff are extremely helpful and the rate we got was excellent value. We were also grateful for the onsite free parking and the hotel bistro across the road where we enjoyed a nice meal. Will definitely stay again.

Although clean, two of the pillow cases on the bed were stained. Not something to put off staying again but we did address with the Manager prior to leaving.

Room was clean and had a lot of space. Easy accessibility. Easy out of hours check in and out. Wifi was good, no problems. No noise problems. Lovely little place with good pricing (magic round pricing).

Not a deal breaker but the Location was around 15$+ per trip (uber/didi/eScooters) into Queen Street Mall area. Went to Magic Round so we used the eScooters on Friday to get to Queen Mall then walked to the stadium from there. Was around 15$. $25+ to Suncorp on Saturday because it was raining hard. eScooters are worth the price as you got to see alot of the city in the open air.

Location is great, 2 min walking from ferry stop, close to supermarket and shops. Great to have an undercover and secure parking. Room is big, everything is provided from bathroom to kitchen. Water pressure and temperature are great. Staff is friendly and helpful. Will book again for sure.

I'd rather next time be on level 1 or 2 than the ground, the patio is quite dark with those high walls and the lobby was noisy at night.
