Riverview Boutique Motel

The property was extremely comfortable and immaculately clean. Our room was more like a suite in its generous space and its presentation. Breakfast was served at our requested time in the dining room, a cold or hot selection which was adequate in size and well prepared.

Driveway access to the property was difficult, being up a steep driveway and then at its top a sharp turn. However, undercover parking was then available close to reception. The location of the property in an elevated position necessitated the steep access.

The motel has a lovely charm to it, the building was built in the 1880s but it's really lovely and clean in the rooms, had balcony looking towards the river, the room we were in had a good sized shower, breakfast was included and we had full breakfast. Can walk along Riverfront and towards the ocean to see waves breaking. There are a couple of places to eat within a couple of minutes walk from motel, but can walk a 10 minutes or so further and go to RSL and into shops as well. The couple that run the place are absolutely lovely and if you have any questions or need anything you only have to ask and they will do their best to help you.

From arriving to leaving our stay was fantastic. The owners went out of their way to make our stay one of the most enjoyable in recent memory. The room was lovely with a comfortable bed and magnificent view of the river. It was spotlessly clean. The water pressure and temperature was perfect. And the free hot breakfast, served to either our room or the beautiful dining room downstairs, was the icing on the cake. I can't recommend highly enough.

Nothing...perfect!

The history was identified in its ambience. Our room and balcony overlooked the river and the sound of birds both morning and night made this such a relaxing place. The owners were friendly and very helpful with directions to places to see and the various restuarants within walking distance. Breakfast was included and freshly cooked. Will make this our halfway point between Sydney and Brisbane in the future.

As it was raining we were unable to enjoy the balcony.

We only stayed one night, but it was comfortable. The cooked breakfast was tasty and just the right size. Our room had a sofa and a lovely view. It was very pleasant sitting out on our own balcony outside our room. It was also only about a 10 minute walk along the river to the large RSL which has beautiful views. It was also just a short walk to other cafes.

The room was large, bright and airy; nicely decorated and very clean and the bed was large and comfortable. Breakfast was included in the price and was delivered hot to my room right on the agreed upon time. The premises has been well maintained and is in a quiet after hours area, access is easy from the street with off road parking and it was very close to both shops and the water. There was a very nice view of the river mouth and ocean from my balcony which made relaxing with a beer after a long drive very enjoyable. Ziggy and Rene were the perfect hosts; friendly, happy, attentive but unobtrusive. Thoroughly recommend this hotel to couples and business travellers as a quiet, genteel and relaxing oasis.

Nothing to fault here - a great little hotel that is truly welcoming.

Lovely hosts who did everything they could to make us feel welcome. Good sized room and bathroom. Great location with a short stroll to the river which you can follow all the way to the beach! Superb pizza and pasta place 2 min walk away and short stroll to the shops too.

More a reflection on me perhaps and not a major issue but as it’s an older building with wooden floors our footsteps in parts of our room seemed to resonate and echo loudly… I was worried about my children disturbing others with their heavy feet!!

The rooms are recently refurbished, very new looking and clean and comfortable. The hotel is an old style bed and breakfast with the communal dining room downstairs, and it was good to see a property like this still in use. The views are lovely and the location excellent. The owners of the hotel were super friendly and welcoming, I wish we could have stayed longer. I also appreciated the hotel's proximity (walking distance even on a cold night) to some really good restaurants

I really cant think of anything to be honest.

The room had a balcony overlooking the river and the distant mountains. It was wonderful to wake up to and have breakfast. There was a walking path along the river, which is a great way to start the day, and there are a couple of cafes nearby - which were closed during my stay (COVID) - but looked great. I would go back just for the view and location but the price may be out of my range. The room had a fridge, and many TV channel options (I don't have a TV so this may be standard). I saw the cleaner at work and she worked very hard and did an excellent job - evidenced by my spotless room.

Breakfast options could be expanded. It was a good breakfast of bacon/eggs/beans/tomato and toast, but yoghurt with fruit and muesli could be added just to give people more choice, particularly for the accommodation's price.

Our very comfortable room was up a flight of stairs which might not be suitable for everyone but looked out towards the Nambucca River with a balcony & outdoor furniture - a lovely place to sit with a drink & some nibbles. Breakfast was much appreciated & quite enough for us. Rena and Ziggy were wonderful hosts, welcoming, friendly & helpful. Would love to go back.
