Wildes Hotel Kangaroo Valley

One of the staff (I think her name was Cath) was very helpful. I wish she was there from the beginning. Before checking in, I wanted to ask some local information, but the lady there didn't know anything. Once we checked in, Cath gave us lots of helpful information to enjoy Kangaroo Valley. When we left, she kindly told us the safer way to travel including a winery I wanted to visit. Although it was not an apartment, having a microwave in the room was very handy. The room was very spacious and comfy.

It seems the cleaner forgot to collect the garbage before we arrived. Otherwise, it was clean. We wish we could have a better view as all we could see from the window was the boundary between the house behind.

Beautiful courtyard, friendly and accommodating staff, tidy spacious rooms with clean modern bathrooms and great extras including full sized shampoo, conditioner, wash and lotion, in-room iron and ironing board, nice selection of teas. They helped us change our rooms upon check-in to accommodate accessibility needs. Having parking onsite was very helpful too. Nice having.a later check out too!

Lift was broken during our stay which was only a slight inconvenience as my partner had a broken leg and we had to give up a balcony room for a lower level, but they helped us with the room change so it really wasn't any issue

We recently stayed at Wildes Hotel in Kangaroo Valley for two nights and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is nestled in a picturesque location, surrounded by nature, and the atmosphere is tranquil and peaceful. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. We particularly enjoyed the delicious food at the hotel restaurant, which featured fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Overall, our stay at Wildes Hotel was exceptional, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway in Kangaroo Valley.

Breakfast was good. Rooms big. Beds comfortable. Parking adequate and secure. Good location.

Not enough towel rails. No where to put hand towel. Not enough hooks to hang towels/clothes in bathroom. 3 towels for 2 people?? No hand held soap provided. Not everyone enjoys showering with gels. Big room so it can accommodate anther luggage stand. Wicker bins with those lids are unhygienic to lift lid and not convenient to dispose of rubbish easily. Windows didn’t open. Room Courtyard unkept. Heating inadequate and no warm bedding.

Location was great as it was in the heart of Kangaroo Valley. It was very close and within walking distance to the shops and restaurants/cafes. Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was also clean, spacious and looked modern.

I wish the shower had a glass door as the water from the shower would make the bathroom floor wet

The staff, the room, the restaurant and the lively town was perfect for our 2 days. Upon our arrival, we were checked in by a lovely lady and she gave us places where we could see kangaroos and she was spot on. We saw wild kangaroos for the first time in our lives and it was amazing!! We also took a short drive from the hotel to Fitzroy Falls and it was beautiful!! The weather was gorgeous and warm and that made it even better. If ever visiting Kangaroo Valley, you must stay at the Wildes Hotel.

Omg location is amazing, views, centrally located, well designed facilities, staff were extremely helpful a credit to Wilde's and themselves. I have never stayed at a location that has pride in every aspect, the gardens the indoor area the facilities were immaculate and then you walk into your room, wow, the cleanliness and state of your abode was five star. Wilde's is so well kept it was enjoyable up until I had to leave. A hearty thank you to management and staff, we will be back

Absolutely nothing

The property was clean and relaxing. Conveniently located and very quiet. Absolutely loved the courtyard it felt like we were in Europe. Food was great and staff were very welcoming. Bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept on. Very large rooms. I’m fussy with my accommodation but couldn’t fault it.

Service for breakfast on Saturday morning was very slow considering not many guests. We were thinking maybe they had an issue that morning as the rest of the time was great.

The room was spacious and well furnished: the overall room facilities were very good (my rating). It really lacked nothing, although at the very high tariff perhaps breakfast might have been thrown in?

When we arrived, the noise from building machinery was intense. I always feel that a hotel should inform its guests in advance, as happened to me in Victor Harbour not long ago. I received an email, but went anyway. Here (and there), it was quite reasonable: it stopped at 5PM, perhaps an hour later than comfortable (guests arrive from 3PM). Also the shower has issues in that the water spreads readily in the bathroom across the floor. Still: the test - would I return? Yes

Breakfast extremely disappointing - re below and location great .

We had breakfast there the first morning , coffee was excellent , juice nice and cold . The toast its self was not acceptable . The toast arrived 30mins after we had ordered it , and yes it was 30 mins . Presentation was 1 piece of toast with a ration serve of jam and butter . When the toast arrived it was cold , and hard and certainly not eatable. We left feeling disappointed ,told the staff about our experience - they said sorry . They offered more toast and we weren't prepared to sit for another 30mins only to suffer the same outcome . It was as if the toast had been sitting under those heat lights- 30mins to get out 2 pieces, we found that a ridiculous . Would i recommended breakfast to our friends , certainly not . I would encourage them to drive into Bowral
