Holiday Inn - Bulawayo, an IHG Hotel0

I last stayed here in 2000. It has had a lot of refurbishment since, and added extra facilities, although I didn't use any of them - gym, conference centre etc. Swimming pool was good. Staff were great. Location is a short taxi ride from the centre of Bulawayo - which is nice to walk around and explore. Aircon worked fine, they had butter at breakfast, whereas the Holiday Inn in Harare didn't. Stayed 2 separate nights, and was "upgraded" on the second night, although not sure that there was much difference.

It is a shame that they got rid of the Spur restaurant in their refurbishment as I remember this fondly.

Good location, staff are very friendly and hotel is very clean. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely book again.

Bathroom tub too small, can't even shower properly. It would be better if they can get rid of the tubs and leave showers only. Breakfast is way too expensive , 30 US Dollars that's a complete rip off. I stayed there for 5 nights meaning I would have spent 150 Dollars on breakfast only for one person. Please can you revise these ridiculous prices.

Great place located very close to the City Centre and still well run. Staff very friendly and welcoming. This is an example of what a top establishment should be like. Food from the restaurant is varied and we'll prepared to cater for every taste.

Unfortunately our room 231 was close to the Ascot shopping centre where one night the generator from the shopping center was running until the following morning which wasn't conducive for a good night's rest.

The staff professionalism and honesty, for example, I forgot my camera when I checked out, and the hotel tried to reach me severally to alert me.

I believe the breakfast options can be varied to make it more interesting, especially after having it a couple of times.

The hotel is exceptional. Staff were beyond friendly and went an extra mile. They had 2 double beds in the room which allowed us to use two rooms comfortably with 2 adults and 2 kids in each room. We were also given rooms next door to each other as requested. They had an ice machine for guests in the corridor by the rooms which was very helpful and a bar fridge in the room. After breakfast (which was excellent!) the manager offered us a takeaway bag full of baked goodies for the road.

It was such a brilliant experience and nice place.All was good,but the food was far too expensive more than all places I have ever been to.

Had 1 or 2 episodes of running stomach. Mild. More strict food monitoring mechanism may be needed. Maybe one or so dish spoiled the otherwise excellent food.

The price for breakfast USD 30 per person. More expensive then in London hotels! Ridiculous! Need a lounge area to chill in the evening.

Too expensive didn't eat breakfast it's a complete rip off at 30 dollars a plate it's crazy to say the least

I think staff isnt enough cause they clean up to 6pm of which i believe by 3pm latest hotel should be clean with no cleaning materials on the corridors siince check in is 2pm n check out 10am
