Liberty Central Saigon Riverside Hotel

Really good value for money hotel, and we will happily stay there again. Location is great - walking distance to everywhere around D1, short taxi ride to D2. Internet was good, my husband worked from the room and attended zoom meetings without a problem. Our room was clean and spacious, with a river view. The rooftop pool was not crowded at all, only few people there at a time during our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. We didn’t take breakfast in the hotel, so not sure about the food.

The spa service was very average.my masseuse was texting on her phone during my massage. She clearly didn’t enjoy her job. The Aircon in the room was broken, so we had to change the room, which also didn’t contribute to the relaxing experience. At the end, she told me how much I should tip. Overall it was not the end of the world, but honestly there are so many nice spa and massage places around, so I would go out somewhere nice for my massage next time.

Staff are lovely. Gym is compact with plenty of weights and an awesome view, rooftop bar has great sunset view and happy hour. Pool is good, rooms clean and cool. Location walking distance to most things in District 1. Great value spot if you can get a good rate.

Had some noise from a bar below the building, but only on Saturday night, and staff offered to move us to another room if it happened again. Bathrooms lacking some privacy due to design.

1) Concierge staff Hien and the tall lady at the door is very helpful and friendly. Especially Hien alway solved my direction for places of interest or other matter with full detail with a sincere smile. Well done. 2) Roof top bar staffs, main lobby lounge staffs & level 18 cleaner staff is friendly and polite.

The Spa at level 24, should have indicated the price indicated is it inclusive of tip .To prevent misunderstanding. Not after the Spa. My wife and me had been travelling from Hanoi, Sapa, Halong bay, Da nang to HCM. All the Spa's that we visited- price is inclusive of tips. However we alway give extra more to the lady that did the spa- all parties are happy and appreciated. But not for this time, caught to our surprise.

Hotel was on the waterfront with surrounding up-market shops and restaurants. The room was on 19th floor with fabulous views, comfortable bed, lovely hot shower and was quiet. After visiting District 5- couldn’t help thinking it would have been a more vibrant area to stay and equally comfortable. ( next time) Staff were very courteous- like all the other places we stayed in Vietnam.

There was no bag rack -we had to keep our bags on the floor. Not good for the back. Had to ask for black teabags ( only 1 in the room) and milk- maybe not an issue for some but thought it would be standard in a “ top” hotel. Not a fan of the 10% hotel tax!

I was given information about this hotel by a British couple at the Airport since they had stayed here. They even tore out a part of their bill with the name and gave it to me, so that I would not forget it 10 days later when I was to visit HCMC. There is a swimming pool on the 25th floor and the property is overlooking the river. The views are spectacular. The rooms are nice big and comfortable. The breakfast is good. This property is located in a very good location, full of restaurants, cafe, bars and malls. The staff were very helpful, full of smiles, from the lady opening the door at the entrance to the housekeeping staff. The concierge was extremely helpful and I must thank the staff at the Reception for allowing me a late check out. Now I have my “Go to hotel” for Saigon !!!

If the hotel's Stars Rating System (1* thru 5*****) would be created not formal, but with grade weight points based on the customer's convenience and pleasure to be a guest, then this hotel must have 5*+ (Five Plus stars rate). From the moment you come into the stylish Lobby and are met by naturally friendly front desk staff - to the time when you relax at the cosy roof pool bar with panoramic view of Saigon , your stay in this hotel is a true pleasure. No need to repeat "all excellent" itemized ratings above. However, more words need to be said regarding breakfast. The restaurant has superb food selection and its artistic layout. The staff trained at the level of an exclusive club. And there is "something on top" . Your delicious meal is served with spectacular river views and soft traditional Vietnamese instrumental music. The moment I got to the taxi to leave for the airport

Check-in staff were excellent. The room was very comfortable and large enough for my husband and I to have both our suitcases open to pack. It is in an excellent location which overlooks the river - easy to walk around if you can bear the heat (otherwise a very short Grab ride). We accepted the option to extend our check out to 6pm for half the room price which was handy for our redeye flight. The pool was nice and clean.

There is no driveway for the hotel - so pick up in a Grab means they are stopping on the curb on a very busy street.

Overall the hotel was wonderful. Breakfast everyday was awesome. We also had a seafood buffet one night which was excellent! The staff were very helpful when we needed anything. The rooms weren't huge but that is the same with most hotels here. The rooftop pool area and bar were excellent, great to come back to and relax after exploring Vietnam all day

Cant think of anything that needs to be done better. Would have loved a bigger room with a balcony but sorts these things cant be changed. Everything else was wonderful.

The staff at front of house and in the Breakfast room were genuinely friendly, helpful and welcoming, making us glad to be back where we felt at home and cared for after a busy day out in the bustle of the city. The rooms were spacious, very comfortable with great beds, lovely views, and very quiet, even though the hotel is on a very busy road opposite the river; the river-view room had an ever-changing wonderful panoramic view with a little muffled traffic noise at times, and the city-view room was also interesting, but generally quieter. It was such a bonus being able to open the window in this room, to let in a welcome breeze and the atmospheric background noise of daily life outside. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and there were lots of different options available in the continental bakery, cereals, fruit and yoghurt, salad and cold-cuts, and cooked selections. Happy hour each evening in the bar by the roof-top pool, overlooking the river and the changing evening sky was delightful, and the complimentary afternoon-tea had a different array of lovely, beautifully presented sweet and savoury dishes to enjoy in the foyer.

We booked executive level and couldn’t get an alcoholic drink till 6.30 pm and then it was only cocktails, beer or wine, not even a gin and tonic. Food was not hot in that area. Sounds petty however we paid quite a bit more for this privilege and we’re quite disappointed, as we have had executive levels in the past with more benefits than given here.
