Hyatt Place Amarillo-West

Convenient to I-40, breakfast was good, the breakfast staff were very friendly and accommodating. The lobby, hallways, and elevators were very clean. Our King size room was clean.

We were not happy when our rooms were not ready during the 3-4 pm check-in request. We were not happy that our 80 year old mother's room wasn't available until after 5:30 pm, on another floor (especially since we requested it), and was dirty when she entered. The beds were hot and uncomfortable. The king bed was so loud sitting down/getting up, it disturbed the other sleeper.

Hyatt place is conveniently located close major hwy and most of city traveller points of interest. Beautiful place, very clean with friendly staff. Generous size rooms in modern minimalistic style that I really like. Bathrooms are clean and moderately big. The pearl of the stay is their breakfast. Delicious variety of breakfast options accompanied by a very hospitable lady- cook. Price was acceptable. One of the best hotels in Amarillo, TX.

There was nothing really that I didn't like. Would be nice to stay there l Ionger to experience all the hotels included services.

Extraordinary find! We stopped mid-way through a road trip after a 14 hour drive and were so happy with this place. Everything is brand new, clean, and staff is friendly and welcoming. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Bathroom felt like those in much more expensive properties. Breakfast was perfect and just what we needed for the drive back to Denver.

The elevator doors close very quickly! Make sure to hop on or off as fast as you can.

We have utilized this property several times in our travels. The staff are friendly and efficient, the facility well-maintained.

This time we spent a great deal of time shooing flies away while were trying to eat our breakfast in the dining area. I realize only so much can be done with the main door only a few feet away. But surely some steps can be taken.

The hotel is beautiful and the room was spacious, contemporary and nice clean hard surface flooring! The bathroom and couch area was a bonus. The entrance, breakfast area and check-in was clean, inviting and open!

Breakfast eggs and potatoes could be better. More flavor in the scrambled eggs and the potatoes needed a bit more cooking time!

It’s a very new place but I had to switch rooms as one did not appear vacuumed or the bathroom was not very clean hair etc I switched rooms since no housekeeping on a Sunday night and the next room was a little cleaner but didn’t seem vacuumed or swept ether they need a better housekeeper floor not swept either even the hallways were not I vacuumed with kids crumbs in front of our room . They allow dogs which is fine and f your into that I saw a lot of animals walking around … not my thing may be fine for others…

the breakfast was the best. the staff was kind, the rooms were clean. it was spacious and airy Our key glitched a couple of times but the response time from the front desk was so quick and efficient. The engineer came promptly to replace the battery on the door. Great team great hotel

Everything was wonderful, except for a family on budget for one night its a bit expensive. i think 150 plus taxes should be max for a two queens kind of room.

Jarrod at the front desk was really nice got there before could check in he let me watch the tv at the bar area as soon they had a room ready he let me check in also has a bar and a great selection for breakfast in the morning you can eat dinner there also.

The internet sucked for the price you paid it could be better I even went down to tell them the guy tried to tell me how to get on there but didn't work with my phone and no microwave in room.

The breakfast was good, I liked the variety of food, such as eggs , bacon and make your own waffle. There was also fruit and bagels which I like, it would be nice to have more than one toaster for the breads.

It would be good to have real silver wear instead of plastic. It was difficult to get to the food because the arrangement allows only one line to move and it is slow.

The beds were so comfortable! The staff was very friendly and helpful which was nice after a long day of travel.

Shower was open at the top in our room which made for a cold shower! We also had a standup shower which was very difficult with 3 very small children! We wanted a corner room to help keep our noise down for others, but not at the expense of having to give showers to a 3 year old. And since we had on the reservation 3 children would have been nice to know about the shower. A bit pricey we felt…especially since the breakfast was served and they were not very generous on the portions! I had a long drive ahead and needed a sustaining breakfast! Didn’t like the fact that they allowed dogs…especially in small hallways.. the dog across the way from us barked every time we walked past the door!
