Courtyard by Marriott Memphis East/Park Avenue

It was my birthday weekend and the GM brought me a little birthday gift bag. Everything was wonderful clean quiet and there was even a big family reunion in the courtyard but they were very respectful and it was still very nice and peaceful. The staff was so pleasant never once did I walk out in the hallway and see a staff member that didn't strike up a conversation of greetings or good morning good afternoon ..... I would 100% say that it was the nicest group of people that I have ever encountered at any hotel that I've stayed at. I will return. And to the GM that gave me the little snack bag with water and a nice card. Thank you very much It was very much appreciated!!

The property was amazing, perfectly landscaped, cleaned, gated, nothing was broken or unavailable to use. The rooms were very nice and clean with balconies. BUT at he BEST thing was the staff! I believe the the lady that checked us in may have been the manager, if not she needs to be! and if she is, give her a raise. A breath of fresh air! Knowledgeable, kind and genuine. I believe her name was Debbie?!? Anyways, my husband and I were thankful for the clean nice room. But we are most thankful for the way we were treated by any staff that we came across, from the front desk to security, to the housekeepers. Thank you!

suggestion maybe add a couple of patio chairs outside on the balcony. We didn’t mind to relocate the desk chair and ottoman temporarily outside to enjoy a glass of wine and a nice breeze.

The facility was very clean, linens fresh and lobby staff very friendly.

No comp'd breakfast and it stopped (the day I went down before 10am) and the serving area was cleared and packed up. All I wanted was a juice and the woman at the serving area couldn't find an apple juice, but was able to find a $2.99 bottle. It's not about the $2.99, it's about not having a service that is promoted.

I like breakfast and love that they offer some Starbucks coffee. The women that cooks there were very nice, professional and friendly. I also love the ladies at the front desk they were also professional, nice, and friendly. They made my husband and I feel good about picking this hotel.

I don't like that breakfast wasn't included in the price of the room. I just feel like that if a guest is spending at least 2 days it should be included. Being that the cost of the room and tax is high.

Courtyards are pretty consistent anywhere you go. So if you have ever stayed at one you know what to expect.

Location When you are from out of town its difficult to choose and know what you are going to get in the surrounding area.

My husband and I stayed there while he was having surgery at St. Francis, he was there one night and I was there the second night alone. I felt safe and the hospital was a straight shot across the street.

The towel situation is a little crazy, they only give you two towels because they ask you to be eco friendly and reuse your towel. I don't like that, give me fresh towels.

price of snacks by front desk, bathroom needs some ventilation for the shower. after a short shower the floor had condensated and was super slick.

Great little property that is very quiet and private. Very convenient location to restaurants and shopping. The pool and courtyard area are very secluded and safe.

Little pricey, no bath tubs in all rooms, asked for balcony/patio access but was unavailable.
