avid hotel Nashville - Lebanon an IHG Hotel

It was very modern and very clean. Clerk at desk was friendly and helpful. Especially liked the room and bathroom having the hand soap, hand lotion, shampoo, body wash and conditioner in bottles with hand pump mounted on wall. I had the "leisure King room" and it provided wall hooks and hangers for clothing along with a clothes steamer, wall mounted tv with the widest selection of channels I have ever had in a motel room. Lobby had a wide range of drinks and snacks to purchase with a great coffee machine that brewed your coffee on the spot.

All was good, nothing negative to say at all.

The staff was friendly. The hotel was clean and inviting. People felt comfortable hanging out in the lobby and the outside areas. It felt very hip but casual.

The only bad thing was a lack of storage. There was no place to put clothes or luggage. There were no dressers or a closet or anything. Not enough furniture in the rooms.

I liked being given a choice of floors, so I took the top floor so i could get some exercise. I also liked the sensor lights in the stairwells and the bathroom in my room. I like good coffee day and night, so the Bunn coffee maker in the lobby was ideal, available 24 hours and it grinds the beans for each cup! I liked the large shower head and hinged glass shower door. I didn't use the exercise room, but it looked nice from outside.

A microwave oven in the room would have been nice.

We loved the proximity to our family who lives in Lebanon and also the proximity to downtown Nashville. Also, we loved how new and updated the hotel was, especially for the budget friendly price. In addition, there are extra amenities such as breakfast and the the gym. Our favorite features of the room itself was the large, smart TV that allowed us to stream our phones via wifi to watch our streaming services before turning into bed that night. The mini fridge allowed us to keep cold beverages, which was great. The bathroom mirror contained built in LED lights, which was great for applying makeup!! Lastly, the bed and pillows were very comfortable for a great nights sleep. We did thoroughly enjoy our stay.

Only two negatives - the doors were heavy and did not have a “slow” close meaning that if you didn’t physically close the door slowly they do slam pretty loudly - so you did hear that at night when trying to sleep when other guests were closing their doors. Next, we were on the first floor and with the building being new construction we did have a few centipedes during the morning and evening hours. They were small little critters that were easy to get rid of, but definitely didn’t anticipate sharing our room with them, haha.

I liked the cleanliness and friendly atmosphere. It was an easy off/on the freeway. I liked the floors much better than carpeted floors. The coffee was good and elevators worked quickly and smoothly.

Our “Comfort” rating was based on the following. The room was not noise proof. There were loud bumps from the room overhead that sound like someone running or jumping on the floor. Consequently, we did not sleep as sound as we wished. There were also loud (unmentionable) noises from the bathroom next door. We wondered what they were hearing from our side of the wall. Consequently, we did not feel private in the privy. In spite of those issues, I will likely stay there again on our return trip home.

The hotel is located adjacent the I40 and easy to get to, from that freeway. Parking lot was clean and well-lit. Staff was friendly, helpful, and kind. The room was exceedingly clean and fresh! Loved the full-size Dr Watkins bathroom products (hand soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo and conditioner) which were a welcome change from the tiny, 'smaller-than-trial-sized' toiletries usually provided in hotels. The bathroom mirror was oversized and backlit. The shower and the entire bathroom were spacious and bright. Attention to comfort was obvious from features such as the bathroom light switch which had a motion sensor built into it, so no groping for light switches in the dark! Sleeping in the bed with it's medium-firm pillow-top mattress, fluffy duvet and 4 pillows of varying densities was comfy & cozy... and was like what I imagine sleeping in a cloud to be like! The blackout shade on the bedroom window, the comfy bed, and the sound-reduction incorporated into the room via the headboards all created an environment that made for a very peaceful night's rest. The personalized television welcome screen was a nice touch; actually made me feel as though I was being welcomed 'home'. I found it awesome that Avid hotel encourages a traveler to connect their own devices (phone, tablet, Amazon firestick, etc.) to the hotel's TV rather than warn against it as other hotels do, although... there were a large number of TV channels from which to select a program too. Open storage shelves and wall-hooks were efficient and made it easy to put things away and to locate everything upon checking out. The breakfast offerings were great... mostly healthier things... and even some individually-wrapped, hot breakfast sandwiches. I had never stayed in an Avid hotel before, but I will absolutely look for Avid Hotels for my future travel accommodations.

The only negatives I can think of are: I wished the lightbulbs in the sconces by the bed were lower wattage and softer. There was not a large amount of floor space in the room I had but at the same time, it was certainly not cramped and there was definitely plenty of space for a couple of adults to move around easily and function; the room design was [I feel] definitely focused on comfort, sound sleep and peace rather than providing empty floor space in which a toddler could run around and play. Although obviously not a reflection on Avid, when I stayed at the Avid in Lebanon, TN in July 2021, the only nearby restaurant (Chili's) was about half a mile away. There were however, other restaurants, fast food and coffee shops within a couple of miles.

Clean & good breakfast selection, bed & pillows we’re comfortable. Provided all bathroom shower amenities!!

AC fan could not be set to run continuously, so no fan noise. It was too quite, we have to have some tan noise. All other units will set to run continuously.

The woman who was at the desk at Checkin last night clearly loves her job. She was so friendly.

None of the staff could speak English today. I️ asked the lady emptying the trash in the food area this morning a question about the coffee machine and she was like “I’m sorry” and shook her head because she couldn’t speak English. The lady at the desk when we checked out didn’t seem to be able to communicate. I️ felt like I️ was traveling on another country.

the property was very nice, everything was very clean, probably one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in. the grab and go breakfast was impressive as well.

the only thing that I have negative to say is that parking was full on of the nights that we were there, but there were a couple of trucks with trailers that were occupying multiple spots, so I can’t really even blame the hotel for that.

The entire place looked and smelled clean. The bed was very, very comfortable. The rooms were spacious and the parking lot was well lit and had plentiful and convenient parking. I would highly recommend this hotel for those traveling alone as I felt safe in all areas. The decor is a little sparse and not very homey but it is also a factor in the very clean feeling that you get when you’re in the room. I had no worries about what kind of germs may have been on the floor or on any of the surfaces as everything was made of easy to clean materials. The staff was friendly and courteous and I had no issues during my stay.

The decor was very sterile and felt kind of cold and uninspiring. But that is a small thing when you’re just looking for a comfy and clean place to sleep and shower.
