Nice water pressure, nice staff very friendly.

We had bugs in bathroom when we first got there. The heat didn't work, it smelt musty we purchase a air freshener to clear it up.

The location is right on the beach, the room is spacious and has a small kitchen with everything you needcand as well as a full sized refrigerator. The cleaning service people are extremely nice, and they come daily to ask if you need anything. The maintenance guy was aficiant and nice. Overall, we enjoyed the pools, lazy river and our stay at the beach...

Our room had old furniture and carpets which should be renewed and the toilet was disconnected from the floor. After we told them, maintenance came and fixed that so there was no problem. We were there for 10 days, but no one came to clean the room or vacuum, so we had to ask, but that was not done regularly although they told us they would be cleaning every 3 days.

I loved the very friendly staff. They always made us feel very welcome. They cared about our needs. The rooms were spacious and private from the second bedroom. We loved the spa jet bathtub. I also love that there was a fully equipped kitchen. The view was amazing as well.

I didn't like that I had to ask housekeeping to vacuum when they came in and only said they were taking our dirty towels to replace them. I also didn't like that the room didn't have a vacuum and Broom and dust pan in case one was needed late at night. Housekeeping could have been a little more thorough as far as sweeping and vacuuming or just keeping one in the room so I could've done it myself. I also had a few complaints while my family and I were in the pools that were left unheard. I was told staff would take care of it but they never did. I think the place was a little understaffed at the desk.

Despite mixed reviews we had an amazing time!!! The staff were so amazing and sweet !! (Front desk Matthew !!!! He won the prize going out of his way being sweet even when my son who is autistic was having a melt down) the room was clean no bugs as other reviews stated !! The only complaint I have is when we got booted out due to the fire alarm going off …

Only complaint I have is they should of kicked out the neighbors to us a few days before hand they smoked the hall up once with a fire and two days later set the whole building off which had my kiddos unable to breathe in fear … the people were allowed to stay when in my opinion they sent two people to the hospital they should of left cause they were still cooking and clearly shouldn’t have a kitchen

Location is great, the rooms were clean and the staff was great...the beds and pillows were comfortable...lots to do around here and not far of a drive to attractions or restaurants...the banana boats and sail boats are a must do here and only $25 per person...jmikes breakfast is super yummy , pricey but good...had the best time and thru booking the value was good ...stayed and extra night and it was booked thru booking so the hotel gave me the same price booking gave me , sweet!!! Not a 5 star hotel , but was really good...will be back....

Hold the toilet handle down longer to do a complete flush...

Besides the lack of parking I was pleased with everything about our stay!!! Staff was awesome and the ocean view was amazing!!!!

I liked everything about our stay except the lack of parking. Being a mom with 2 kids and only having another mom with more small kids and having to park and walk from a block away behind a dark garage at 1am cuz we were out doing things late was nerve racking! And I think there should be brooms in the rooms. Kids with sand and snacks for 4 days gets messy. I also love spending my time on the balcony. Being on the 2nd floor, everyone at the outside pool area can see and watch you. I didn't like that either, but that wasn't the hotels fault.

Was very impressed with how clean everything was. No dust. Corners were even very clean. We needed a few things because it wasn't a handicapped accessible room. They brought us everything we needed immediately. Never had to wait for anything. Coffee pot was broken they sent up a new one immediately. The staff was amazing and very friendly. Would recommend and stay again.

The only drawback is that it is antiquated and needs to be updated. The pools were great, along with the Hot tubs. Very clean, they are doing remodeling in some areas. Parking was good. Needs new pillows and furniture.

the location was very good.The pools were amazing as the kids really enjoyed them.The ocean front location was wonderful. Check in and out we’re easy enough.

The upper lock on our door was hanging by two screws instead of being bolted by five or six like it should have been. Our coffee pot worked as long as we held the button down as the coffee brewed. Our carpet left a dark discoloration on our feet when we walked in it barefoot. The room was clean with plenty of towels and small soaps upon arrival. We were right next door to the housekeeper supervisor door but did not see housekeeping til day three of our stay. The person was very friendly and provided us with clean towels when we asked even though we had the housekeeper needed sign out for two days.

The location was great. The staff was nice. Our room was located on the second floor with the larger balcony facing the ocean which was great and I felt safer for the kiddos to enjoy the balcony as well. Aside from the lack of housekeeping cleanliness, we really enjoyed our stay as it was fairly quiet, however the hallways did wreak of marijauna. The pools are a bit dirty from time to time due to guests not cleaning off properly from the beach and sand, but it didn’t deter us from enjoying them.

The mattress/box spring covers are pretty stained up. The hotel should really replace these when they become stained. Housekeeping could do better at cleaning up the rooms after guests leave. When inspecting my daughters room upon arrival for any types of bugs, my daughter found a joint and a couple buds hidden between the mattress and box springs 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣 Did not care for the over priced breakfast at the hotel restaurant as the eggs were mushy, the sausage gravy was gross, and the bacon hard.

We loved the friendly staff as they were accommodating. Each person (staff) that we passed had a smile and greeting us every time. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. They view from our oceanfront efficiency was breath taking. We enjoyed our morning coffee and listened to the ocean (even at night) The pools and lazy river were clean. Great place to stay.

Young kids smoking weed. but Holiday Sands South is not to blame. It's everywhere!
