The Palms Oceanfront Hotel

The location of the hotel was amazing, easy access to the beach, restaurants and bars.

I wish there was a little store where I could buy convenience items. I needed asprin and feminine products but the stores were not open yet. It would have been nice if there were small emergency supplies behind the desk. Rooms were loud, brought a sound machine so I couldn't hear the outside noise.

Really liked the location. Beachfront with only a very short walk over the dunes to the beach. There was a shower/foot wash which was nice. It was walking-distance to multiple restaurants. There was some parking onsite which was nice. The continental breakfast was basic but good. The rooms were clean and there were planty of towels. There was also shampoo, conditioner and soap provided in the bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall good value for money.

There was no window to the outside. The only window in our room opened into the hallway. Some rooms had a balcony with an oceanview but our room had no natural light. There was also no communal type outdoor space such as a terrace or porch. There was a pool but it was very small and only 5ft deep (water was warm). There were some chairs around the pool deck but no shade. It was 100 degrees while we were there so some shade would have been nice. The sheets were kind of scratchy/starchy. There was an elevator but it was slow and no AC so was very hot. This is me being "nit-picking" -- Overall -- good property and would stay again.

Couldn't beat the location. Central, beach is right there as well as restaurants. Breakfast starts early which was great to be able to eat before watching sunrise. Super clean, room and bathroom were both very spacious and modern. Ample towels given which is a personal love of mine. Bed was large and comfortable. Windows had good shades and curtains to keep light out.

I didn't know ahead of time that our room had an adjoining room. We could hear our neighbor snoring through the door at night and conversing during the day. Not a huge deal but if I had known ahead of time I would have paid more for a room without adjoining.

Our stay was absolutely perfect!! The entire hotel smelled nice, our room as well. It was very clean, beds were amazing, and the view?!!! it was exceptional. I wasn’t expecting much from the balcony view bc I knew it was a side room, with a side ocean/beach view, but it was amazing and beautiful!! You could easily hang out in the patio chairs provided and watch the waves. The only complaint I would have is the bathroom. It’s very small, which in itself isn’t a big deal. BUT, the door opens to the inside and it’s beyond aggravating. It was a chore getting in, maneuvering and wedging yourself in between the commode and sink, and turning to close the door. The same aerobics have to be performed to get back out. Installing the door to open out would have fixed this issue. All in all, it was an exceptional hotel and we will most certainly be back, the bathroom issue was simply an inconvenience. I loved the fact that it is a very short walk to the beach THE MOST! You literally walk to the back of the parking garage, up a few steps and onto the walkway that leads you straight to the beach. You can be sitting beachside in a manner of minutes!!

We stayed in two rooms during our stay as we asked to be moved due to the noise from the bar. Staff were understanding and helped us move. The first room, with two twin beds, was small- however the second one, with one queen bed was perfect. Both rooms had a balcony ( decent size), fridge and coffee machine The beach was at the doorstep, very nice and clean. Hotel was located near many bars and restaurants+ shop was 9 min walk away.

Complimentary breakfast buffet was served on plastic trays and it was not refilled often enough. We appreciated it being complimentary, however once there was nothing left to eat ( at 8:30 , where the breakfast was finishing at 9:30 am.

our first night on the second floor was horrible!!Even the cheapest room should be better than this was.The room was cold the bed was hard and also sounded like construction was going on overhead The only thing that it had going for it was the cleanliness part also the room was dark and no place to put your luggage.You actually do get what you pay for.Sorry this was my dislikes.

See Above!! On Sunday we were moved to another room on the third floor which was wonderful.The guest Services Personnel whose name was Kevin is a true asset to the hotel he made our trip a pleasure.

Spacious, clean hotel overlooking the beach; we loved our balcony and the size of our room; kids very much enjoyed the outdoor pool; breakfast was continental but ample; staff were generally friendly; very easy to walk to eat and drink at myriad places right nearby.

This is a busy, party area so it might not be for everyone (though the bars were quiet after 10 PM); the bathroom was surprisingly cramped for such a large room and more racks for towels would have been great; the parking beneath the hotel was quite limited but the lot across the street was fine; a fitness center would have been ideal though there was a massive Planet Fitness 15 min away.

Out third floor room balcony overlooked a very nice local restaurant with live music. Nice breeze and view of the ocean. Easy quick access to the beach, just down the steps and over the dunes.

The Parking and check in was a little confusing. There is parking underneath the hotel, but fills up quickly. There is reasonable space to drop bags and then park about a block away. Not really bad, just confusing.

Kevin was great and helpful, he could be the hero of an add for southern hospitality, happy, helpful, polite, enthusiastic... Perfect. The cleaning ladies were super nice and helpful. In fact everybody was kind and efficient. The place is clean. The place has been remodeled. It was perfect for us. I realize that some people did not like the breakfast or the parking... Booohoooo We stayed 4 nights. We will come back.

Let me think about it... They did not have a pier?

Clean room, friendly staff, great location. Loved it, the what didn't I like part isn't really a complaint - just the reality of packed oceanfront construction

The partial ocean view rooms are right up against bar/restaurants, didn't really bother me but can seem odd sitting on your balcony looking down at people's meals, like an accidental food critic!
