For the low price we paid, we thought the room was outstanding. The front desk actually upgraded our room for no extra charge just because he wanted to see us in a nicer room. The decor was rustic and beautifully done...in keeping with the mountainous surroundings. The linen and towels were of good quality. My husband, being a house painter, was especially impressed with the good paint quality on the door. The room was very clean and quiet and exceeded our expectations.

When we checked in we rang a doorbell which gave an automated response, then we had to wait in the cold for a bit...not too long, but we weren't sure when someone was going to come. When the desk help came, the gentlemen was very friendly and helpful, but smelled strongly of what I identified as cannibus...not illegal, but not a wonderful first impression for us old-fashioned folks that are sensitive to the smell of weed! I'd stay at this motel again in a heartbeat.

rooms were very well done ( remodeled). comfortable beds, very clean and welcoming.

Hot water was hit and miss. I'm sure it was because there are shared hot water heaters between the rooms. Sadly there just isn't much to do in the town ( or neighboring towns) I spoke with the front office, thinking things were closed due to a storm that they had the day before our stay. She said that it's pretty normal for several of the business to just open when they feel like it ( not on a weekend during tourist season apparently). The owners of this property are trying to really make it work, but the town is really struggling.

We recently stayed there for two nights. The bed was comfortable, the room clean and had the basics that we needed. The service was excellent, with the woman from the office always checking to make sure we had enough of everything and making sure we were comfortable. It is very quiet and not much to do in town, but close enough to do and see other things. We would definitely stay there again.

There were no issues. Everything was good.

It was a nice old-style hotel. The staff was very friendly. For the cost, it met our expectations.

We had a large room that slept 6 people. However, the bathroom was extremely small for the number of people. Most of the furniture and kitchen utensils could be updated, but what we had was sufficient. They definitely need new pillows as they are hard as rocks!!!

This was a safe and secured stop over in our way to Eagle cap backcountry trip. Was very clean, well stocked and the a/c worked to keep a hot day be a bearable nights sleep. Ice machine fully loaded despite the heat. I felt this motel care for guests comfort and needs. The price was so fair, I’m generally a fancy hotel points kind of person and I often pay much higher rates. I’d be happy to stay again! Mingo did it all.

Truly everything here was great. Nothing needed to improve for a motel stay!

From the greeting at reception and easy check-in/check-out, to the impeccably clean and comfortable room (including microwave and fridge!), to the comfortable outdoor seating, my stay at the Mingo was perfect. The quiet town invites strolling through the neighborhoods and by the school, park, and few shops along the main street. And added bonus of this location is being able to walk just a few blocks to the river and then the trails and beautiful views on the Nez Perce Homeland Project.

The room was very clean, and the floorplan was very nice. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was great, and it was nice to have a patio. They're pet friendly which is great, and you wouldn't know pets stay in the rooms.

There was nothing we didn't like. Everything was perfect for us. No complaints on our end.

Great, clean older hotel. Looked recently remodeled and up to date. Met our needs well.

We stayed 2 different times here in a week. Different rooms. The second one had a suite which did not have A/C. We slept with the window open then. Which below our room was the outside facet that rafters were filling up water cans at 7 am. Not fun.

Great little motel with everything you need: easy check out with a key drop, a comfortable bed (in fact, I want to know where the sheets are from!), and a fridge and microwave. Just at the top of the parking lot is an adorable coffee shop/cafe (Blonde Strawberry), and you can easily walk where you need to go in downtown Wallowa.

As with any motel, with all the doors facing the parking lot, it can be a little noisy sometimes. (I just used the a/c fan as white noise). Would have preferred to see my check in staff person — who was very friendly, and did keep check in quick — wearing a mask during these COVID times.

Beautifully remodeled and clean older motel. Wed spent the day playing in Wallowa State Park and Lake but needed to hit the road the next morning for a 3-day drive. The 30*minute drive from the Lake to this wonderful respite was logistically great for us. the next morning we were well rested after a very quiet nights sleep. The value is excellent!

We liked everything. The pillows were a little too plump for me.
