Comfort Inn Saint Clairsville

There were several little perks such as two canisters of water and lemon infused water by the check in desk in the lobby which was a nice touch. We were handed chocolate chip cookies at check in, nice touch. The lobby and dining areas were already decorated with fall decorations, another nice touch.

When we arrived for check in, there was a sign on the counter saying that they were away and would be back shortly. However, after waiting about 10 minutes we were a little annoyed that no one was back and the check in desk was unattended that long. We finally rang the bell on the desk to get the person working there to come out and let us check in. We waited that long because the sign also said to ring the bell or call a listed number for important/emergency situations. But also, the breakfast serving hours were a little odd especially for a holiday wknd. I would have thought that 5:30 a.m. to 9 would not be standard, yet holiday wknd hours. A little too early.

We stayed 1 night. Ann Marie at the desk was very friendly and helpful, especially when the heat in room 1 was VERY loud. We got another room that was perfect. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a quiet nights sleep. Breakfast was a little better than your average hotel. The price was right and the hotel was in a good location for stores and restaurants.

Perhaps some cut fruit and better pastries; but that's it!

The hotel was clean and smelled nice. The bed was comfortable and the desk clerk was courteous and pleasant. I didn't use any of the amenities beside the breakfast and that was great too. Loved the biscuit and gravy! I don't think I remember a hotel ever having carpeted stairs. It added class. And the plug in freshners in the hallways and stairwell are a great touch!

My room was very spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable and had a nice heavy bed spread.

I was not happy that the items I wanted for breakfast were not available. No waffle mix and had to wait 20 mins. for her to cook the egg and cheese omelettes. I think they need more help during the breakfast hours. She worked hard to keep up with the demands of a large group of people.

Everything!! Pleasant, professional staff. immaculate common areas and room. They even had a printed list of restaurants with directions for guests who don’t know the area which was extremely helpful. Well thought out room design and overall an outstanding facility considering the cost of $70 for a king bed room.

I can’t think of anything I didn’t like.

Great hotel for excellent price! Rooms were clean, A/C worked great, beds were comfy. The young lady working the night we checked in was super friendly and was able to fulfill our request for a room on the top floor.

There is quite a bit of traffic noise but we used a sound machine to help drown it out.

When we walked in at 2 am, the desk helper was extremely friendly and smiling. We told her it was nice to see a smile at 2am after a long drive. When I called ahead on the phone, another staff member was helpful and and friendly. This was the friendliest, most helpful staff I have experienced at a hotel. Also, this may have been the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed at. It felt immaculate. The pillows were very comfortable and the beds were clean and comfortable. The breakfast area was clean and had ample seating. There were lots of quick options including bagels, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, cereal and a waffle maker. Hot coffee, tea and milk and other drinks. We were heading west, and the entrance ramp for 70 west is directly across from the hotel lot. Lovely location right off of the interstate.

I would have loved having some stevia packets for sweetener for coffee and oatmeal. There were other low calorie sweetener options. Also, I would have liked to have water available at the breakfast area.

Looks like a newer facility. Rooms seemed to be cleaned very well. Front desk called to verify that we ordered a wheelchair accessible room. Check in was easy. This is no destination vacation hotel. But a great place to rest your head for a night or two.

I was only there 1 night, to sleep, before driving the rest of the way home from our trip. But everyone was very nice and helpful. It was the best out of the 3 hotels we stayed in.

Wish we could have stayed longer
