Residence Inn by Marriott Cleveland Downtown

The staff were all incredibly friendly and the building was beautiful. Centrally located to so much the city has to offer. The bar and other common areas had a luxury feel to them and everything was so nice and CLEAN!

Only 2 complaints: when paying for a hotel room, parking should always be included, in my opinion. $40.00 a day to park when we've already paid to use the facility is pretty steep. Also, my husband had to repair the toilet at 3 am when he used the bathroom only to find that the toilet had been continuously running and the flush mechanism was broken. Thankfully he's a handy guy and it was a simple fix!

It was nice to have a kitchen. The bed was comfortable. The location was great. We were there to eat at the Marble Room. It was across the street behind the hotel.

The bathroom area was the only negative of the room. The sink is small, and the lighting was not ideal. The lighting was indirect from around the mirror. It was hard to see to shave. The valet was easy in and right on the spot for drop off, but there was no luggage cart available to help get our luggage into the hotel and to our room. When we were leaving the next morning, we could not use the easy tap text to call up our car. It had not been checked in correctly, so the system had us seemingly out driving our car. We had only checked in the afternoon before and never moved our car.

The location was perfect! The staff was amazingly friendly and kind! They were attentive and always up for conversation 😁 The rooms are HUGE! Nice little plaza/mall inside the hotel. 24hour Valet service is an AMAZING idea🙌🏾🙌🏾

I stayed in a room in a hallway without other rooms which was a nice idea.. but housekeeping seemed to forget about my room ( trash and fresh towels) while I was gone all day. I had to change my trash myself and ask for fresh towels. Had to call housekeeping in to sweep my room before I settled after check in. There were crumbs in the hallway leading up to my room that were neglected by housekeeping. Grossed me out a little bit. One(David) out of the three valets was the only one that was attentive to me and brought my car on the spot. The other two seemed distracted. The other two weren’t at their posts.

Location Location Location!!

Everything surrounding seems situated to accommodate the MLB team. Other mini vacationers must make time & RESERVATIONS? to enjoy a restaurant THAT ARE PACKED WITH TEAM FANS to leave yourself enough time to get to other events. Gave ourselves 2h20mins to get food, freshened up, changed, & Lyft ride to venue 1.7 miles away, and we were late. Food wait & traffic being the main culprits.

That they put a $100 hold on your card without telling you. The room I booked was $189 and they charged my card $310. I wasn’t happy about that at all. Also valet was $50.!! That’s outrageous!!

Our room was huge, a king suite, and as expected at a Marriott, the bed was very comfortable. The towels were excellent quality which is important to me. It's July but our room cooled extremely well, we slept comfortably.

It would be nice if the parking situation was explained on the website. I actually looked for information on parking because they are downtown Cleveland so I figured we would have to pay for parking but didn't know until we checked in that valet parking was $39/night. They may be short staffed because when we called the front desk from our room, the call went unanswered. No big deal. Also, it would be nice if breakfast cut off on weekdays was a little later than 9:00.

The room was very clean, the free bfast was the best we ever had at a hotel, the hotel was located in walking distance from restaurants and Rocket Mortgage field to our Venue

The parking was valet only wish it was self park in and out, but overall it was ok

Room was very nice, very clean. Complimentary breakfast was awesome and so was the staff.

The lady that checked us in was rude. I didn’t see anything on line for a military discount and she was rude about it. Didn’t get one, come to find out when we met up with all our family and friends she was rude to them also.

could be cleaner. tv stand had sticky stuff all over it bathroom wall under the mirror had some sort of reddish brown gunk and the floors were not vacuumed well .

Front desk staff was polite and and answered all our questions. Valet Parking Attendant, Lee, was so polite, professional and helpful he deserves a special shout out!
