Hampton Inn Rocky Mount

The breakfast offerings were excellent and the staff who were responsible for it were outstanding. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. Staff at the front desk were really helpful in assisting us with restaurant choices. Very friendly and willing to help. Really appreciated the fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room.

There was a strong fragrance in the hall that was too strong. Something more subtle would have been better. Would have been better if the fan and light in the bathroom didn't need to be connected, as the fan contributed extra noise when it wasn't needed.

Great place to stop half way to southern Florida, good breakfast and friendly staff

2 desk staff asked for a damage deposit upon arrival since booking was made trough a third party (Booking.com)....told me that the room has to be inspected in the morning before any refund.....upon departure the desk staff did not understand why this was charged and refund was issued without discussion

The location was right off of I-95 which made it very convenient. The staff was very nice, and the breakfast was very good. The bed was very comfortable, the hotel had a workout room and a pool that we didn't get to use because we came in late and left early the next day.

The lady at the desk charged me a higher rate and said Booking.com was at fault. They were going to fix it the next day, which they did. I am glad I asked at check-in about the rate because I am sure I would of been charged a higher rate and I know it wasn't booking.com because I booked directly with them.

Good location relative to the interstate. The people! From the front desk attendant at check-in to the breakfast area attendants in the morning everybody was polite and professional.

The key "making" system was down so the front desk attendant had to walk everybody to their rooms. (The system was up by morning and they had slid a key under our door.) Thus caused a little bit of a traffic jam at the front desk. I understood the delay, but as usual some folks in front of me were becoming rude.

The room was very neat and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linen was clean and fresh. The continental breakfast had a wide variety and was very good. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely book again.

The heating unit made a small annoying noise, I'm sure I could've asked for another room and they would've given it to me, but it wasn't a big deal.

no cookies at checking, staff said they were going to bake more, come back in 30 minutes. cam back twice no cookies. went for breakfast at 5:55am, no where near ready, said the “helper” didn’t show up. No bags to go available.

When I arrived Emmanuel could not find my reservation that I booked through Booking.com. He was very courteous and accommodating and finally we came up with the solution. When I could not get breakfast Mistee provided us with two breakfast bags. The staff was very kind.

I have been too many hotels and those that serve breakfast discontinue at 10:00. When I came out for breakfast at 9:03 everything had been taken away. There was no literature in the room to indicate breakfast would end at 9:00. I specifically chose the Hampton inn because of breakfast.

The breakfast was exceptional considering the limitations with the current pandemic. The only thing is that after staying at another Hilton Property, The Hilton Place in Mystic, CT, it would have been nice to have cut up fruit in individual containers like the Hilton Place as an option.

Beds and linens were comfortable. The pull out sofa mattress was not as comfortable as at the Hilton Place in Mystic, CT. This was minor. All in all it was an excellent hotel.

Location was very good for my purposes. Breakfast was good (except for the eggs😝). A nice variety and clean. Hostess was real friendly. Friendly staff. Clean hotel. Reasonable price. My 2 requests were honored (top floor and pool side).

The eggs. The bathtub faucet in room 413 had a constant drip.

Location was great, room was clean and comfortable. Great selection of food for complimentary breakfast.

Would have liked a two queen beds room instead of the king bed & sofa bed- the sofa bed was not comfortable and when booking the two queen beds was more costly than the king.
