Hilton Garden Inn Rochester Downtown

The hotel is very nice inside, the rooms were great. The bed was a little too hard for me, but other than that we enjoyed our stay and the location for a hockey game was excellent!!

The restaurant had very limited menu so we ate elsewhere but closeby dining options helped ...breakfast was okay but for $15 each it paled in comparison to less expensive places we have stayed

The hotel had a modern vibe with cheerful colors, stylish chandeliers, and trendy furniture. The rooms are pretty soundproof. We were near the elevator and heard nothing. Also, the front desk was friendly and helpful.

It would be nice to figure out a way to exit from garage elevators into the hotel itself. It’s a bit of a nuisance to walk out, and around to the garage….especially in the rain.

The property was well maintained, my room was spacious with a coffee machine and complementary bottles of water, the place was clean and the staff was very kind.

Unfortunately, the street looked sketchy and I didn't feel safe walking around.

The room was clean and smelled great.

No complimentary breakfast, and wasn't told you had to pay for breakfast until we sat down and got a plate...not how you run a business!

People at the reception helped me very well with transfer to the airport. 5 stars to Hilton 2x5 stars to Paul how helped me very much to come to the airport and was very kind and showed me excellent pictures and books.

Breakfast was excellent, fresh and well cooked. The staff were all really friendly and the place was spotless.

There was a bit of a holdup on checking in but staff were helpful and apologetic.

We liked the cleanliness of the room and the staff who were very accommodating. The front desk staff made sure our needs were met and gave us free vouchers for the restaurant downstairs. The pool and fitness area was VERY clean and there was also a bonus sitting area with very comfortable chairs and trees. I'd definitely stay again. The front desk staff even texted us each day asking if we needed anything and was able to send people up to the room to tidy things up!

These things are minor. The bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke so I made sure to let the front desk staff know that it wasn't us as we don't smoke so that we didn't get charged a fee. They certainly understood and then gave us free drink vouchers for the restaurant downstars. The hotel itself seemed to be in a not-so-good area. I don't know much about Rochester but the hotel was right across the street from what appeared to be individuals struggling with substance use and/or homelessnes. , I think there may have been a Methadone clinic close by. They were outside the window and across the street all day. Definitely not a knock on the hotel, itself or the people. Just something we noticed.

Great staff - very friendly and helpful. Pool and gym facilities outstanding.

The TV remote and access to TV programming is impossible to navigate. Even the staff says so.

Breakfast Waitress Annie was great! Friendly and efficient - Chris in Drifters restaurant was also really good!!

Bed was a bit squeaky and lumpy but not bad

The facility was very clean... they have many measures in place for COVID... room key to get into hotel, face masks required, and it was the little things to put your mind at ease during these trying times. The area around the hotel was not very busy seemed everything was closed.

Parking... there is a ramp unfortunately not many spots available on the first level had to park higher up and walk with bags. Especially hard with a kid.
