Good price/location/value. It has good location: a) 5 minutes walking from Jamaica station b)20minutes from JFK airtrain to Jamaica station c) 25minutes LIRR train ride to Penn station in Manhattan d) ~40 minutes from LaGuardia airport (bus+metro) e) 45minutes metro ride to Manhattan downtown There are several places to eat (most of them takeaway), all ok (nothing fancy) and reasonably priced. Room was clean and good size. All clean. Breakfast - reasonable, no changes during day to day. Surroundings - maybe so so at first but felt safe during night. Did not walked much further from hotel.

There was always noise from ice machine nearby and some kind of ventilator every morning. Breakfast is said to start 6:30 but it does at 7 - changes in plans.

The hotel’s location to the Jamacia Station just can’t be beat. Whether you’re arrived at Port Authority Bus Terminal, Penn Station, Grand Central Station, or JFK Airport, arriving at the hotel via the Jamacia Station is very stress-free. If you’ve got a concert at the UBS Arena and are looking for a hotel to stay at, I highly recommend this one. You can get to the arena in about 20 minutes, sometimes less, taking the LIRR. Jamaica Station is one of the few stations that trains traveling from the UBS Arena will stop at after 10 pm. It’s a very convenient location. (Tip: download the MTA app to see real time information on running and scheduled trains, what track they’re going to be on, how full each car is, etc. You can buy tickets right on the app too.) Room was clean and bed was comfy. Love how breakfast is provided every morning. If you hang the “Do Not Disturb” sign on your doorknob, housekeep won’t bother you at all, which was a blessing. If you stay on a higher floor, you don’t hear the sound of construction nearby or the noise of traffic as much.

The aircon work me up around 4 am on the first night. It was set to auto, but started making this grinding sound at 4 am and wouldn’t stop even when I turned it on and set the temperature. I ended up unplugging it to make the noise stop. Luckily it wasn’t hot overnight, but it would’ve been very inconvenient if it was.

This Holiday Inn Express was conveniently located near JFK airport and was only a short airtrain ride away. The staff were professional and friendly. The facilities were in great shape. The room was high quality and amenities were included, the gym was well-equipped and the lounge was a cozy place to hang out before my flight. The continental breakfast was wonderful. Ultimately, this experience left me feeling well-rested and ready for my flight.

I have no suggestions at this time. The staff were wonderful and the facilities were in tip-top shape. Compliments to the staff of Holiday Inn Express. You made my trip stress-free and smooth. Thank you.

I needed an affordable hotel close to public transit and JFK airport. The usual places I would stay were 3x normal prices so I decided to stay near the airport. This hotel was surprisingly clean and comfortable and much nicer than I expected it would be. The breakfast was also better than expected. I'd recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

The room was clean and smell fresh, breakfast was well prepared and hot each day.

About 9pm every night there is the smell of marijuana, I called and let the front desk know but the staff that answered told me there was no one smoking in the hallway, clearly it’s not my imagination, I am Jamaican I know what marijuana smells like. I did put a 5 star review in but then I retracted it and decided not to do a review at all.

We missed our connecting flight so had to stay a night in NY. This hotel is a great location, situated right next to the Sky Train so ideal for any time of the day/night flights. There are some stores nearby if you need anything and it's also close to transport to get into the city via Penn Station. It was so brief we didn't really need anything or encounter many staff, but all seemed fine! Just be prepared for hearing people leaving all through the night to get to the airport!

Staff working the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. I had to extend my stay and they were accommodating. The housekeepers are hard workers and very helpful. I loved that I had access to a microwave, fridge, iron, and ironing board. My room was very comfortable. I did not have any issues.

Although I am from the area and know how to locate street parking, it's still annoying having to look for parking and walk the streets the night as a woman. It would be helpful if the hotel purchased the lot next door and turn it into a parking lot.

The hotel is located in an area that is easy to get from the airport via the AirTrain (just make sure your GPS is pointing you to the right road because I walked a couple of blocks in the wrong direction!). It's definitely comfortable for a one-night staying or any short term solution. The rooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable enough. People at the reception were very kind and held our luggage for a few hours after the checkout since we had an evening flight.

There is very few to nothing to do at a walking distance from the hotel, so take into account you may want to either stay in or use a taxi (or the subway) to get somewhere else in the city. The area "feels" unsafe but perhaps it is not.

The person at the front desk (I think it was the manager?) was super helpful that went beyond any expectations. I felt that I was treated like I was family. In fact, I'd say that I've never had a better experience with a hotel in my life, and I will be forever grateful for the kindness I received.

The only thing I can think of is that I didn't know how to work the air conditioner, but that probably was my fault, not the hotel's.

Very convenient location close to the airport by train or taxi. I chose this hotel since I was arriving to the airport late and didn't want to deal with the hassle (or cost) of going into Manhattan or Brooklyn. Room was comfortable, seemed pretty new and a good size. Friendly staff and they let me leave my bags the following day until I flew out that evening.

A bit expensive, but that's all of New York it seems.
