Tioga Downs Casino and Resort

The hotel and casino were great. The rooms were fine neat and clean,and staff super.The casino had a great selection of slots and table games.

The buffet was TERRIBLE for dinner and breakfast.We went for dinner buffet and they ran out of carved turkey an hour and a half into serving. The salad bar ran out of items and was not restoked. The selection of other food items was so so. My wife and I said you can not screw up breakfast so the next morning we gave it a shot. The bacon was so OVER DONE you needed a jack hammer to try to eat it. I think most of the hot items were luke warm,the egg station was GOOD. We had breakfast 2 mornings and were happy to have $5/ea. off for both days. Breakfast was plentiful and P J Clarke's and the buffet were both very nice restaurants. We also enjoyed using the hot tub and sitting by the outside pool on the sunniest day. 4 restaurants to choose from and the casino and hotel were smoke free. It was neat to be able to sit and watch the horses run the track for practice - we weren't there for an actual race. Slots were fun and the players club rewards were very good compared to other casinos we have visited.

The beds are very comfortable The room was clean

The heat in our room wasn't working well. The hot water in the shower ran out on me midway thru my shower. The hot tub jets are weak and the hot tub didn't feel clean when we were sitting in it, they also need to change the adult swim hours, by the time we check in at 4, eat dinner there's no time for my Grandson to swim because of adult swim starting at 8 , 9 would be a better time for adult swim!

The room was really nice, big, clean comfortable, with all the amenities, quiet air conditioning and quiet in general, beautiful Italian shower. Indoor pool with adjacent joy tub. Great deal and it was fun to see the horses

I’m not a gambler so the adjacent complex was a bit garish to me, and worn in places, buffet breakfast was a good deal but selection fell a bit short of my expectations. Staff were all courteous but seemed overworked and not very happy so I wondered if they were underpaid

We regularly stay at this hotel. It is always very clean, and the staff is generally quite accommodating. Fresh and clean sheets, towels and plenty of toiletries. There is also generally plenty to keep you occupied, though covid has slowed some of that. The pool, the spa, and don't forget the casino and horse track!

Obviously you can't hold the staff accountable for the noise of other guests, such as rowdy partiers in the halls or a baby crying at 3am. I do wish the buffet renovations would wrap up, so food would be available again! There's a little less going on, due to the pandemic, but that is not any fault of the venue.

Stayed for a couple of nights, plenty of room in the rooms, two double beds, chairs, desk, fridge/freezer, large bathroom, showing is incredible! Unfortunately didn’t get a chance to use the indoor pool, outdoor pool or the gym but I am sure it’s nice enough. Would definitely return!

Nothing from memory, apart from my bank account losses at the casino!

I am buying a house very close to the location and this hotel casino was the closest and cheapest hotel. It was a way nicer room than I thought it would be.I got the top floor and wish I could have stayed longer to take advantage of the amenities

I guess it would have been cool to get a free breakfast rather than $5 off the buffet but I did not even have the time to go eat at the buffet so I don't know what it was like. The vending machine could have healthier snacks

Easy to get around with my 87 yo mom. The restaurant was good. Took advantage of the $2 ice cream cones. Slots paid ok. Breakfast was nice. Mom already planning a trip back!

Would had liked it to be better accessible - took many back roads from PA to get there, so probably wont plan another trip til Spring.

Nice big hotel with ample parking. The room we had was very large with 2 queen beds (I booked a king size). The shower and bathroom were also big with all the amenities. Fridge and AC in room.

On check in, the check in person was not friendly. Not sure we were given a room we did not book. Would have been nice to have the room we paid for. Could not be asked to go back to reception after travelling for 4 hours from JFK and a long flight.

Breakfast was nearly excellent...paper cups for coffee is inconsistent with the concept of fine dining. The front desk manager...Helen went out of her way to send a fax for me looking for one properly configured fax after a recent upgrade on fax machines.

A microwave would not be too much for every room. A placard with the front desk phone number in place of where a phone normally would be useful. Some self service drink stations in the casino would be nice...coffee...soft drinks...juice. The outdoor pool with water slide was never opened during our three night stay. No pool towels for the outside pool location
