The Kenilworth

Comfortable. Complementary airport transportation provided. Quiet atmosphere. Friendly & helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Bathroom was spacious, clean and well-appointed with shampoo, conditioner, soap and very nice quality towels.

Nothing, really. Others have written that the facility is a bit dated with some worn-down qualities. However, having previously stayed one night over New Year's Eve, in preparation for an overseas flight from EWR, and found the facilities and staff interactions favorable, we opted to stay again for one night following a return overseas flight. We were not needing high-end luxury, but found the facility adequate for our needs at a competitive price. We would stay there again. Lastly, food service is limited and not complimentary; however, a nearby grocery store and eat-in or carry-out food establishments met out needs.

This is the second time I have stayed at The Kenilworth. It is always clean and well maintained. The shuttle to and from the airport is very convenient. The staff is always kind.

Each time I have stayed they have accidently given someone else a room key to my room. Always after I have checked in. This time I was sleeping and heard someone trying to get into my door. As a person who was traveling solo, safety is my number one concern. Because of this I will not stay at The Keniworth again. The staff always calls the room to apologize but this is not acceptable.

The room was well appointed and very clean. Everything was updated and looked nice. The front staff were friendly and helpful. I booked to stay overnight as I attended a wedding in the area. The hotel is in a good location to the highways and was easy to navigate.

I do wish the bar/restaurant had been open, I arrived at 3pm and the website said it should have been open ..but no dice. Also, breakfast (continental style) was not complimentary.. not even the coffee. I thought that was a little cheap…. But overall, I would still stay there again.

The rooms are "ok" as it is an older hotel that was renovated some time ago. The lobby is very nice, and clean. The staff were friendly. I just felt 200.00 for a Friday evening was quite high for what we received. The bed was comfortable and it had a refrigerator, which was convenient. The back door was supposed to lock with pass key entrance. We found that it did not lock, which is a safety concern.

Requested early check-in via email... the request was admittedly not read by staff ended up waiting in the lobby for 1hr, with two kids. The room was given to another customer that didn't request early check-in. Maid entered my room unanncounced day of checkout( DO not disturb sign was visiblly on the door) yelled into the room..." it's time to check out" and didn't close the room door all the way. Linens not readily available for sofa bed. Bathroom scale not operable. Iron/iron board rack broken.

The esthetic and colors were beautiful. complimentary transport to and from the airport/train station. supplied with plenty of towels and soaps. comfortable bed. microwave and fridge in room.

no late check out. if you need to extend your stay you'd need to make a separate reservation and pay an additional deposit. bathroom had a hair in the bathtub and a hair in the sink. no breakfast. bar is not open late and restaurant not open.

This was my second stay. It's now my go to when flying out of Newark. The rooms are clean, they staff is very friendly and helpful. The parking is good, and the lot for Park and Fly is well lit. I'll be staying there again soon for a concert at the Prudential Center.

I wish there were more available food / snack options. But there are several restaurants and fast food places that deliver.the front desk provided a list of options.

You have all you need: writing desk, office chair, fridge, microwave, iron & board, comfortable memory foam mattress, Wi-Fi, plenty of car parking at the hotel.

Whilst the sound insulation was OK, it could probably be better as I could sometimes here the TV and people talking on the phone in the next room. I had to pay a USD 100 deposit just in case I use some paid hotel services. Not sure if this is standard in the USA, definitely not in Europe.

This hotel seems to be the best value place to stay in the nearby area. The staff are polite and helpful and the rooms are fairly quiet, which is great if you're just looking for a simple place to rest.

The hotel rooms are somewhat dated, but it's still comfortable. The hallways could use improved lighting. It's always a disappointment when hotel room TV isn't equipped with modern streaming services.

The room size was good as we had 4 people and we didn't feel crowded. The lighting in the room was very good. The bathroom was spacious.

The hallways were very dark. We had a reservation for 4 people and the room only had 3 towels and 2 K-cups. We had to go to the front desk to get another towel and more coffee. The front desk seemed to be understaffed as each time I went there, there was a long line.
