ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT ! super clean and super comfortable large room with full separate kitchen and spotless bathroom ( not shown in advert so nice surprise ! ) a travellers rest beyond expectations with easy abundant parking and a truly brilliant bar grill restaurant downstairs with a great waitress and super helpful staff . Also the prices were the best in the area which for me gave the property integrity against the insane prices offered by the chains . perfectly located for entrance to the park and Mammoth Hot Springs _ gas station 2 mins _ breakfast at 7.30 am too so you're all set for Yellowstone well rested at a third of the cost of the greedy hotels and three times as good .It's got a real friendly cowboy paraphernalia theme .It's unique - has character - fully ticks every box for the experienced traveller - DO NOT HESITATE BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE_ EXCELLENT CHOICE !!!

The staff were VERY friendly and very punctual when we needed things. It could use a little TLC though. The oven was super dirty, the pillows smelled, it was colder downstairs than upstairs and there was not enough hot water for showers. We were not bothered much with these things. We purchased new pillows and bought some fans for the upstairs. We were not in the room that much. We were out enjoying the park. We would most likely stay here again. I think considering it was winter they were limited in staff along with the rest of the small town.

The rooms were clean and rustic. Good bed. Cowboy art. Personally I liked that it was in the heart of Gardiner, a tiny town I love, and with the window open you could hear the movement of the people and the night life. My room was above the restaurant. Since the ceilings on both are high, you could barely smell the wafting food smells - the restaurant was very busy and good good.

The toilet flushed with difficulty. An employee worked on it. I worked on it. They need to call a plumber and have it fixed. The stairs should be mentioned in the Booking ad. I could do them. Got my exercise. But some probably could not.

Centrally located right by the Main Street, Yellowstone entrance, and local restaurants. A parking spot for each unit available right by the door.

Could slightly hear the grill patrons and music from downstairs (below the room). Didn’t bother me at all but if someone needs silence to sleep and goes to bed early, they might need some headphones. Not applicable to me, but the unit is upstairs and does not accommodate those unable to climb stairs.

The location to the park can’t be beat. The town has everything you need, and the attached restaurant makes it even more convenient. The kitchen was perfect for staying in.

I see my review is consistent with the others here. We had the outlaw suite which was right above the restaurant. The noise from below is significant. Basically everyone down there is the room with you during business hours, and they serve breakfast as well ;). So your days start around 6:45 and go til around 9-9:30. Otherwise everything was perfect.

The employees were friendly and engaging. The location was perfect! The food was surprisingly delicious, especially the chicken fried steak-ordered two nights in a row! The room was spacious and essentially like our own private apartment. I definitely recommend The Cowboy lodge for its excellent location, very comfortable, and, attentive, friendly staff. I will be staying there again and recommend it! For the price point, the food, people, and location definitely exceeded my expectations!

I really do not have any complaints or negatives as the experience exceeded my expectations.

LOVED the location!! EXACTLY the right minute from Yellowstone’s Entrance, in a small town that was quaint and beautiful, gorgeous mountains views! It had separate rooms, a kitchen, sitting/family area, and bathroom. Also had a covered porch with a table and chairs.

My kids didn’t like that there was no wifi, but I’m indifferent… no wifi was good for their souls, and we still had perfectly good cell reception. So really, it was maybe a blessing. The other was that I couldn’t find a big trash can to unload some of our trash from our vehicle (we drove from Eastern VA) but when we had come back from an adventure, I saw trash on the ground, tried to put it in the only trash can I saw out front, and the neighbor said “That is my trashcan, not yours.” I told him I found trash on the ground and just wanted to pick it up and throw it away. I don’t see any other trashcan. Then he said “fine, then, that’s okay” The next morning when we woke up to leave, my husband went to throw a coffee cup away and the trash can had been rigged so it couldn’t be open.

It was HANDS DOWN the BEST PLACE I have ever stayed!!! The furnishings were ASTONDING, the value was phenomenal!! I was totally amazed and WILL RECOMMEND THIS HIGHLY!! I stayed in a Suite with 3 Bedrooms, each tastefully decorated. Beds were super comfortable!! There was a Living room with Huge Snart t.v. beautifully decorated. There were books and Games for ALL AGES, and Apple T.V. , fully furnished kitchen at opposite ends with a great island to sit at..an awesome outdoor seating area with outstanding views of the Mountains. They have a GREAT RESTAURANT as well with Great Hone cooking and AMAZING PRICES!!

There was NOT A THING I did not like!!

Cowboy Lodge is a great location for walking the town and seeing elk roaming. Don't miss the stroll to the end of the street to view elk lounging in the school yard and the little park on the less traveled side of the arch in the morning or evenings. The beds were very comfy and perfect for our family of 5 with 3 adult kids along. We loved Gardiner!!!

It would have been helpful to have a 9x13 pan or larger cookie sheet in the kitchen. We are not used to spending $$$$ on lodging and planned to cook our meals to save on that part of our trip. We did not have access to a grill.

The bathroom had refillable shampoo, and body wash in the shower, instead of single use containers. Very conservation minded. The kitchen was nice. comfortable bed. Close to everything.

the only parking was on the street hard to find a spot anywhere close to the room.
