We had been using this hotel for our TO and FROM Canada trips since 2015 but hadn't been taking the trips due to COVID in 2020 and 2021. It was cheap and the only reasonable hotel in the area. We really only stop over night there for the Nelson Brothers Truck Plaza food across the street. However, this year was a pleasant surprise. It is hard to describe all the changes for the better since we last visited. Complete and fashionable renovation! Staff was always nice, but the staff and new management are exceptional. Gone is the leftover stale smokers smell. Rooms are beautiful and well appointed. To me, the quality is worth the increased price.
Looks like there might have been a little mold on very bottom of shower curtain. We sprayed it with Lysol we carry now due to COVID. Might want to check that. Room 314.

Beds were very comfortable, very clean overall.
There is no breakfast which seems pretty rare these days. The shower pressure was very bad. It would be nice to have a shower mat as the tub is very slick. Both of us came close to falling in the tub/shower.

We stayed here many years ago. We were impressed by the many improvements made! Attractive landscaping outside the entrance. Improved color scheme, very nice bathrooms. They have been putting much effort into this hotel.

I really like the housekeeper lady forgot her name but she been there for some years I think she say 6 years. She makes sure we had clean towels fresh bag for trash every day
Guy at desk rude and needs to make sure he numbers right before being rude to guest. He called are room 3 time trying to say we hD to leave on are second day when we payedfor three made us have to get up and show we were payed for three days. But housekeeping the lady was great she does a far job on cleaning you do need someone on your laundry to weed out stand towels and sheets

I go fishing every year and stay there. The hotel needs to look at skid strips in the bathtub. It’s damn slippery when taking a shower
I think using the Covid for lack of housekeeping is getting old. Bring back cleaning the room every day

The renovations of the rooms was an unexpected surprise! Price increased also, but upgrades now place this in competition with nicer hotels like Hampton Inns & Suites, yet price is still lower than those. Great job!

that my room wasn’t clean or swept/mopped which is pretty important, bed sheets not on the bed, almost every towel had a stain.

Right off the highway in a small quiet town, beautifully newly decorated facility with a pool and hot tub. bar/restaurant right next door. Quiet quiet quiet! nice neighborhood to walk in as well.

The thermostat didn’t work so it was a bit chilly.
