Super 8 by Wyndham Bridgeview of Mackinaw City

This is the second time I stayed at this hotel. The first time was last summer and then last weekend. Upon checking in this time, I asked if I could have the same room (201) as I did last year because the view you have of the lake and bridge and because it’s a corner room. Ashley who was working at the reception immediately accommodated me so thank you for that! :) I had my wife with me this year and when we walked in the room she loved it! She liked how it was decorated and spacious enough for two people. She had zero complaints about the room or hotel overall and both of us agreed we will return for another stay! :)

The only negative comment I have is the hotel advertises that they have breakfast included which they do not. They serve coffee and granola bars and that’s it. I heard two other guests complaining about this as well. If the hotel removed the “breakfast included” from their advertising, they wouldn’t frustrate so many guests.

We were on the third floor with a balcony. You can walk on the balcony and get a nice view of Lake superior.  Room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable.

 Breakfast was a brown paper bag with an apple and a  granola bar. If you’re looking for a place with a full breakfast in the morning, then do not book here. There was a nice restaurant about five blocks away with an inexpensive breakfast that was very good. Third-floor ice machine was out of service. You had to go to second floor. Drink machine on third floor was also out of service.

Loved the location of the hotel, the bridge was across the street and the downtown area was only a few blocks away. The beds were so comfy, the best ones we stayed in all weekend. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly.

I didn't like the sink was outside of the bathroom, kind of gross to use the restroom then having to go out of the bathroom to wash your hands. Maybe put the sink in with the bathroom or have 2 sinks.

The room was very clean and comfortable and it was always quiet on our floor.

Morning staff is not very friendly. We went to the front desk twice aside from checking in and one time they were arguing about the printer not working and didn't even acknowledge that we were standing there and the 2nd time they acted inconvenienced when I was asking about the water parks that we had access to.

They gave us a free upgrade to a king bed and jacuzzi. That was awesome. We have stayed here before and like the fact that it is right across the street from the Lake and you can see the Mackinaw Bridge from some rooms.

It only had one comfortable chair so one of us had to sit on the uncomfortable table chair.

The breakfast was not up and running so they offered us meal tickets down to a different restaurant along with water park tickets because the pool was not open. They went above and beyond to accommodate us for our stay.

We didn't dislike anything during our stay

Clean!! Decor and furniture was very apropos for the location. Pool was clean and well-maintained, plenty of towels. Staff is VERY friendly and helpful. Overall, a decent spot to spend a weekend.

Could see up into the dirty dusty light fixture in the bathroom because smaller light bulb used than what's called for, mouldings weren't a tight fit in corners and left holes exposed. Beds very hard. Not enough electrical outlets for everything in the room. Could use more parking. Drinks in vending machines ran out and there's no stores nearby.

Location was good, view was great! 24 coffee was good! Fridge and coffee pot in room were good

I didn't have coffee packets in the room the first night which not a huge deal because of having 24hr coffee down stairs but would have been nice to have morning coffe on balcony in Jammies before having to get dressed. When the room was cleaned for second night we had coffee packets to make for the next morning. Would have been nice to have microwave on room for the price also. And the hallways smelled funny. But not bad.

Location was great. Room was Clean. Great that they gave the option to visit/use other hotel pools. Went to "waterpark" down the road. It was a kids water area. My 16year old heard water park and was a little disappointed

Could use a little update. Carpet was a little old and bed cover but it was clean. Also bag and go breakfast was water, apple and granola bar.

No breakfast and most restaurants were closed. We ate hot dogs two nights in a row . They were better than expected and the kids loved them. Stones throw to Lake Huron. Nice park across the street. Kids loved throwing stones with nobody yelling at them. Right at the bridge. Rooms had a timer switch on the bathroom light that went for 15 minutes. Just about everyone had an exciting half shower in the dark. You are on vacation so enjoy it. Darrow's Restaurant has great food, service and prices. Could only have 50% capacity while we were there but we did get breakfast both days. Get there early because everyone likes Darrow's. I think one guy sat outside all night long so that he could be first in line for breakfast. They open at 8 AM.

Have something worth eating for breakfast. Nobody wanted the take out breakfast.
