The location was perfect, had no trouble checking in. Plenty of clean towels, clean room. Staff was pleasant. I've stayed here before and like the place a lot.

The "breakfast" has been in decline over the last few years. There used to be a bit more than cellophane wrapped muffins and coffee. No yogurt or oatmeal or fruit available. It was very drab. Also, the outer door to hotel was left unlocked the first night we stayed even after informing staff. The staff did lock it when informed on second day.

The staff was great! I’m a photographer and was shooting a wedding roughly ten minutes away, and due to astigmatism I have a hard time seeing at night. The bartenders at the wedding were actually staff from The Winter Inn, and they were so nice to let me follow them to the hotel so I wouldn’t have a hard time! They even checked me in and were very informative. Very nice gentlemen and staff. :) The bar below is a very neat idea.

The hotel is a little outdated but nothing too crazy.

We were delighted with our stay at the Winter Inn on our trip to Greenville. We enjoyed the location because it is close to places to eat and it’s close to all the good biking trails. I had read concerns about the breakfast they offer but it is fine. The breakfast is out in the hall and you can pick up coffee or muffins or bagels and toast them right there. It was great for us! The hotel rooms are up above a restaurant. However you do not hear the restaurant at all. The woman who was helping on our floor was very friendly and helpful!

I liked everything! It’s a great old building full of charm!

It is a historic building, the rooms should reflect that more. The 1st room they gave us only had space heaters for heat, We was unimpressed, especially since it got - 2 outside that night. The bed was comfy, the room was clean but please portray the history of your building. The free breakfast was a bagel, milk & juice. For $95 + TX I expect more. Your bar/ lounge area is beautifully historic.

Whoops, I put the likes & dislikes all in one.

Loved the historic building, the bar downstairs, and the comfortable beds.

Bathroom was small, but it’s a historic hotel so can’t really hold that against it. The music from the bar downstairs is loud as others have said, but that didn’t bother us.

It certainly was historical as advertised. Staff were cross trained.

In your advertisement of this hotel you did not mention that all rooms were on the 2nd floor. This mattered because my husband has some mobility issues. I would book there again if it were just me but not if my husband were going on the trip.

The page said there was breakfast included with stay.however there was No Coffee or breakfast. Just orange juice in a fridge. The food was very good. Good amount doe the money. However, they have prime rib on Friday and Saturday. We arrived on Friday at 6 pm for dinner and they were out of Prime Rib. View from our room was probably the worst view. Ugly top of some roof. They were not full enough toconstitute giving us a room with that bad of a view. Room was nice, beds comfortable, unique old building was very enjoyable. Staff was good but the lady that checked us in was kind of bold about rules, matter of fact kind of attitude, not warm and inviting but it was ok.

They have a prime rib special on Friday and Saturday night from 5-9 We arrived at 6 on Friday and they were out of Prime Rib. View of the room was probably the worst view they could give for how busy the hotel was was unacceptable. It said free breakfast and there was nothing at all accept some orange juice containers in a little fridge. No coffee or anything and restraint was not open by 9 am when we checked out

Good location. very well-maintained, and a fun experience being in 102-year-old hotel!

Some of the rooms were directly above the bar and would be affected by the noise downstairs. Others were far enough away that it was quiet.

Nice little old building. Was built around 1902 so room is a bit smaller than new hotel room but is fun to stay in vintage American hotel.

Not a problem for me but down stairs is an active bar so you can hear the loud music untill 2 am

The breakfast was muffins (that were on the tray when we arrived Friday evening). there was juice and milk in a mini frig when we arrived but was gone by morning. Cereal was fruit loops. The Bar and restaurant were closed for the weekend. Nice family restaurant in town for breakfast though.

Clerk who checked us in was unsure of most everything. Side door to hotel was open all weekend though we had a key to get in....
