Monument Mountain Motel

Location was fabulous, especially to get a room so well located in Great Barrington during the height of the summer season at such a late date. We were well situated near many good food options and mere moments from the center of town. It was perfect for our needs for the one night.

There was a bit of an odd smell to the room. Both my daughter and I can be very sensitive to smells and it seemed like there was a bit of a smell of cigarettes mixed with a strong disinfectant smell. We thought that maybe someone violated the no-smoking rule and they had to use some strong cleaning solution to get rid of the odor.

Good location. The room was on the dreary side as it is an older hotel, but it was clean and had what I needed. Lots of towels, box of tissue, extra outlet by the bed for phone plug in, decent shower. I was alone so it didn't matter that the room was small. The price was very good and the motel was basic, but fine. They let me stay even though I had left my wallet behind and didn't have the credit card with me that I booked it with. Fortunately, it was on file. Breakfast across the street at The Marketplace is good.

I enjoyed being in an old-fashioned motel with windows that open so I could let in the delightful Berkshire breeze. Office staff was very pleasant and helpful. Last night I accidentally left my key inside the room and only discovered it when we returned from my cousin's wedding at around 11 p.m. I had to buzz in the front office and clearly woke up the family but the man who came out to help us was so kind. He said it would be easy to give me another key and he would wait to make sure it worked and I could get into my room. He also asked for my name before he gave me the extra key and it was reassuring to know that he had the motel's security in mind. Beds were super-comfy; I haven't slept so well in ages. The room was attractive and very clean, and the cleaning lady was lovely.

No need to change anything. It was a delightful stay. I feel so relaxed and happy!

The check-in was outstanding. The gentleman at the desk was very kind and did not forget to give me the WiFi info, which actually worked!!! Next morning I dropped off the key and noticed that they had a Keurig machine with Green Mountain coffee. One of my favorites. I was very happy!

I could not figure out how to open the windows and I would have preferred a little fresh air, but the bathroom window opened, so that was nice. Unfortunately, there was not much space, so they put the A/C above the bed, which I do not like very much, but the value was unbeatable!

The motel was very reasonably priced and the room was clean - the bathroom was spotless. The mini fridge and microwave are handy. No noisy neighbors even on New Years Eve.

The carpet could have used a good deep scrub, which is somewhat expected in a motel in winter since everyone walks right inside in their wet boots. Bring slippers and you'll be all set.

Pleasant staff, simple, clean accommodations. Keurig coffee in the office and excellent restaurant directly across the street. No frills, just good simple necessities at a more affordable price than the bigger hotels.

Carpet in the rooms should go at some point, would be best for guests and easier for cleaning staff. A small side table outside the rooms along with the chairs so I could set my cup of coffee down. That’s it!! :)

the place was so affordable and large enough room for my family we loved the playground behind the property too- the kids had so much fun the room was very clean and the staff is friendly and welcoming

the carpet looks like it needs to be replaced -or maybe just put in a small carpet when you first walk in - it’s gets a lot of traffic

It was a quiet location. The bathroom appeared to be fairly new and was very nice and clean. Room was comfortable. For an older motel along the highway it was exceptional. There was no breakfast offered but there was an excellent restaurant across the road called Marketplace Kitchen Table.

No freezer in the refrigerator but the staff allowed us to use theirs. Everything else was good.

This motel was perfect in every way. Clean, frig, microwave, quiet, great location for us. The front office was very accommodating with getting us ice and assisted me getting hooked up with the internet because I couldn't connect using their WIFI.

Traditional Motel style . The place was clean it had a queen bed. A alarm clock with charging ports. Also it had a mini fridge and a large screen television. The location was perfect!
