The Eastland Motel0

Given the choice of two hotels in this region, I am so pleased that we opted for The Eastland Motel. Our room was very clean, extremely spacious, and comfortably equipped (beds were especially comfortable following a long day's travel). All staff were extremely gracious, as well as helpful. Our one-night stay ended with a Continental breakfast which included homemade blueberry muffins (we were in MAINE, after all!)

There was NOTHING that we did not like, though we were confused regarding the discrepancy between Maine's rate for our room (posted on our room's interior door) and the actual rate charged (still modest compared to motels/cabin camp sites in Maine, generally speaking), though these may have been old notices. Though parking was close to the ramped/stair entryway leading to the interior rooms (nice accessibility, as well as safety feature), I would have preferred some lighting in the graveled parking lot.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful; the person who helped us went out of her way to provide us maps of the area, restaurant recommendations, and information about local attractions and shopping...even though we arrived right before her shift was scheduled to end. The room was very clean and well furnished, and the beds were comfortable. There is a complementary continental breakfast available that, when we were there, included wonderful, large homemade muffins! The location is very convenient to visiting Campobello Island and West Quoddy lighthouse.

The room was a bit warm when we arrived. Given the normal cool temperatures in that area, I suspect they have limited need for air conditioning. While our room had a small window AC, it had not been turned on prior to our arrival, so the room was warmer than what we like for sleeping.

Comfortable, clean room with a great view of a beautiful apple tree. Fruit, OJ, coffee, muffins, and yogurt available with the continental breakfast. Close to Quoddy Head State Park & West Quoddy Lighthouse, easy access to Campobello Island. Quiet location set back from the road. Dog friendly, with a fantastic grassy area to play, and an airstrip behind if I needed to run him. Also, some dookie cans are provided outside which most people (thankfully) seem to use. Staff quickly addressed any WiFi connectivity issues, but I wasn't visiting to sit around on the internet anyway.

Staff were friendly - home made pastries and good coffee for free available at the office in the AM. The room was clean and recently refurbished, the building was set back far enough from the road to keep noise down. About half-way between Lubec and US-1, and pretty close to the road that takes you up to the lighthouse at Quoddy Head. There aren't a lot of commercial choices in this part of Maine, but this privately owned motel stands up pretty well to similarly priced local Air BnB options - and no extra cleaning fees!

The shower was a stall about 4' by 4', so reasonably decent size, the toilet was at the opposite end of the bathroom with the entry door and pedestal sink shoe horned in between. Not bad, just a little tight when two are trying to get ready to go out at the same time.

I liked the quiet country setting; just outside of town. Have stayed there many times.

The only thing, and it might sound like nit-picking, was there was no mini-fridge. I have a limited diet due to Crohn's disease, so I had nowhere to store my food or water, which I have to drink a lot of for my condition. It also made me wonder about people who have to store their meds, such as Insulin, Humira, etc. when they travel. Lastly, a fridge would be great since most of the restaurants in town either aren't open or close ridiculously early. It was a pain in the rear end to have to buy a bag of ice every day since I did not have a cooler.

The fact that they never got our reservation so they put us up in a place for the first night and paid the diifference $100 more, this room had no fridge for my insulin or the food we brought so we lost about $100 in food, room had a beautiful view propritor was great but i'm just not comfortable with common room fridge and microwave, I don't trust people. So all in all I am very disappointed with everything and will not use Booking.com again. We did tour the property at Eastland and they were clean and very hospitable but you spoiled it and our vacation This was our vacation of which we only get 2 weeks a year. Thanks for nothing. Only hotels that we had no trouble with is the ones I booked myself.

Really well taken care of place - you can tell the owners care and are continuously updating things. Rooms was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was homemade blueberry or raspberry muffins - yum! Lots of nice lawn chairs - we hope for a fire pit in the future! Highly recommend staying here!

Wifi is not great but they try (routers all over the place) - seems to be the location as even in town reception in general wasn't great.

Hosts at Eastland Motel are accommodating, friendly and dogs permitted.🐶❤️ Great location for short drive to coastal walks, and visit Campobello Island NB, Canada. I liked the old school drive up to your room motel feel. Terry that works at the front desk is fantastic. She suggested a dinner spot for us and then called to make our reservations. She was great to chat with as well. The girls cleaning the rooms were friendly and do a great job. Our room(16)had been renovated and was very clean and comfortable.

Rented the cottage. Very clean. Everything you needed was right there. They even had washer dryer, small amount of cooking supplies, all the dishes, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent fabric softener shout spot remover. Bed was extremely comfortable. WiFi. Front lawn, back lawn, porch swing. They served a small breakfast in the morning with home made muffins with fresh berries. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Mattress was very comfortable. Shower was amazing.
