Senator Inn & Spa

The pool was amazing. They give you items that you request during your stay. Very informative and friendly staff in all sections of the hotel. McKenzie was our favorite hotel staff member. The restaurant was super friendly and had an amazing staff. Food was delicious. Hot tub and both pools were great. My husband enjoyed the sauna. If you have a rainy day, this hotel will make you want to stay in for the day.

The only thing we didn’t like was that the pool and hot tub was only open until 9, wish it was open later! But we really liked everything, and we would stay there every time we visit Maine.

We loved the pools. They did run out of towels at the outdoor pool but the pool its self was clean and grounds well maintained . I loved that I could request as many towels, soaps, pillows as well liked. That's worked very well to accommodate additional towels for swimming. The room set up and space is perfect for the kids to get put to bed and the adults to be able to stay up a little later and watch those not kid friendly shows without them. Some couple time without having a sitter.

The out door pool was out of stock of towels when we went, but we could have been just after a big group.

It is easily accessible from the highway. There is a professional level gym in the spa, which is separate from the motel.

It's a clean motel with some upgrades.

The room was comfortable and spacious, the air-conditioning was very welcomed. I am always happy that they except pets. It was very easy to take my dog outside from the room that I was given. I have stayed at the senator inn in the past, and I absolutely love their spa, pool, hot tub.

The room was a little more expensive than some of my other choices in the area. The maid had left someone else’s food in my refrigerator but otherwise the room was clean. The staff person at the front desk was a little bit unrealistic about me and my husband, leaving our dog in the room to go eat a meal and then return. I understand the dog policy and why they would not want an animal left in the room all day, But when people are traveling, it should be expected that they need to leave the room for meals and it is not possible to bring your pet to a restaurant.

we love the gym, pool, sauna and steam room the most. beautiful day spa as well. The refrigerator in the spa suite is one of the best I’ve used. It’s nice and cold and the freezer fit 4 big ice packs that needed to be refrozen for our road trip. The staff are incredibly nice and very attentive. They are always stocking towels, emptying rubbish and refilling the sauna water for the steam rocks. Because they are always anticipating the guest’s needs, you really never need to ask for anything. I love it. The cloud 9 restaurant is convenient and offers good food and the linens in the spa suite are super soft. The fireplace was a nice feature in our room as well.

The spa suite needed some updates. The inner toilet was stained so it looked dirty and the jets on the tub were missing some of the components so the spray was shooting up at us and the button needed to be pushed several times before it even kicked on, this rendered the jacuzzi tub pretty much unusable, which was unfortunate because that’s one of the reasons we upgraded in the first place. other than that, everything was fantastic.

The ONLY problem I had at all with our stay is that the beds we had stayed in were for some reason very uncomfortable but everything else was so perfect it didn’t seem to matter so much . Also , not that it’s a dislike per say but constructive criticism? I get VERY little sleep so I tend to roam and sit outside of the room to not wake my husband . I didn’t seem to have anywhere available to do so . it’d been cool to have a quiet seating area is all . But honestly the stay was our favorite so far :)

This is the 3rd review I've done on this stay. I'm not sure why. But for the 3rd time. Senator Inn is lovely, clean, and with nice curtious staff. Pool is amazing and flowers around the inn are absolutely beautiful, especially the geraniums outside the pool area. Pillows could stand to be replaced. But the inn gets all 10's otherwise. My second stay and would stay again without hesitation. Thank you to all the staff who work so hard to make the Inn lovely.

Very nice older but updated facility. All-tiled bathroom was especially attractive. Large room, one of the largest in our 11 days of travel across the US. Easy on and off the freeway, and numerous fast food options on the same street.

Breakfast, even the simplest, would have been nice. Other places at the same price include breakfast. Also - would have loved to swim a few laps, but the pool was full of screaming children.

My wife loved the yoga class and we both loved the pool and the restaurant. Having two doors to the room was great as we could walk fifteen feet to our car from one door and visit parts of the Senator from the other.

We could have done without the gentleman coming to our room fifteen minutes after we arrived and were relaxing after driving through a big rain storm and asked our name and when we checked in. He took my wife to the front desk as she was the one who made the reservation and asked her, again, when we checked in. He was there when the two nice desk clerks checked us in about fifteen minutes before. Wanda was new on the job and was very accommodating with the help of another nice woman. We would have liked an apology from the gentleman for interrupting our quiet moments settling down after a difficult drive for no seemingly no reason.

The check in was very smooth. Our reservation was located quickly, and we were given room keys along with the wifi password. We asked for a recommendation for a local restaurant, and we were given a prepared listing of several restaurants as well as a personal recommendation from the hostess. The beds were comfortable, and the bedding was nice.

The bathroom was dated, and the shower was not great. The thermostat was set for 73 which we found too warm.
