SpringHill Suites by Marriott Lake Charles

I did not have an automobile to get around and the shopping center across the street was very difficult to get to. It would be nice if the city would have a streetlight somewhere in the middle of the block. The light on the corner is dangerous because of the traffic coming off of the freeway and cars making turns on the street.

If a time comes when you remodel, I recommend that the toilets be replaced with standard sized toilets, as they are very low, and I had difficulty sitting on them. Also, I chose Springhill Suites because of the advertised transportation to and from the airport. However, I found out that the service was no longer available, and that LIFT is not reliable. A very nice employee took me to the airport after her shift ended and I was very grateful for that. Otherwise, I could have been stranded because I was there to attend my grandson's wedding and he and his bride had already left for their honeymoon. I had no one else to take me to the airport.

I love the spacious set up of the room. It is definitely a plus to have a refrigerator and microwave. Shower pressure was good and hot.

We were put on the side facing Target as requested but we were all the way at the end of the hall by the janitorial closet. We would hear them each morning which was disturbing. Also the window next to the bed has a large gap and direct sunlight was your morning wake up. But the true disappointment was finding a lot of blonde colored hair in the shower drainage, on the floor underneath the TV and nightstand. We sanitize our hotel rooms everywhere we go especially since COVID, so that was gross however we didn’t catch this till we came back in late after watching the super bowel.

The room was amazing !! the toilet was in a separate room from the shower room . we had a room with two queen size beds and a sleeper sofa . The sofa itself doesn’t pull out but it’s extra wide with accommodation of stools to make it larger . The beds were very comfortable and check in staff was super nice . The pool facility was good along with the jacuzzi.

We took the stairs on the way down after check in , the kids just wanted the exercise ( go figure ) on the second floor the stairwell was taped off with yellow crime scene tape .. kinda freaked the kids out a little bit . Stuck with the elevator after that.

because we were there for two days housekeeping never came. We ran out of toilet paper, had only one small bar of soap for two sinks, and there were only towels for two when we had 3 people. A housekeeping visit would have corrected sll this.

The rooms were clean and spacious VERY well ventilated...aka COLD upon arrival. This usually doesn't happen especially in the summertime. The room was also quiet . This surprised us for being located between the interstate and a major road .

The only thing we didnt care for was the weather ...the hotel itself was great

We love the cleaning this, the size of the room, and the comforter it offered.

The lady helping with the continental breakfast was not friendly. Anytime we ask questions about some thing she seem to be really bothered by it. Whenever we wanted to reach out to get something, she will not allow us while she was filling up the containers

The room was more than what I expected. Overall the hotel was outstanding and extremely close to the Golden Nugget where the concert was that I was attending.

The breakfast selection. I am not a fan of turkey sausage or very runny oatmeal so I couldn't enjoy a hot breakfast. There was only 2% milk therefore I couldn't eat a bowl of cereal either. But, the coffee was fresh and delicious.

we picked this hotel for the indoor pool since we’re traveling with a 13 yo. we even called to verify it was open, and yet it wasn’t open. had to pay $130 extra to use the pool at l’auberge… next time will spend the money elsewhere.

The property was in an excellent location for where I was visiting and it was neat and clean.

Honestly can’t say there’s anything I didn’t like. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

Great room, cold A/C, accommodating!

The bed! Mattress was entirely too hard. Uncomfortable. Pillows sink in as you lay on them and the TV isn't high enough. My husband had to prop up to see the TV over me while lying in the bed.
