Hampton Inn Covington/Mandeville

Nice welcoming and easy check in. wonderful breakfast. Lobby area is bright and clean. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed, even decaf coffee which is rare these days.

Little things that didn’t really matter, but for this price, they should be attended to: a small muddy spot on the carpet, some scars and marks on the furniture. And we never could get a signal on the TV, but it was late and we didn’t feel like having someone come in. Nothing to complain about, but that’s why my score is 8 and not 10.

Friendly staff, good breakfast. Just off the highway, but quiet. Lots of restaurant options within driving distance, though none in walking distance. We enjoyed Don's Seafood nearby.

Only the bare minimum of towels, one per person. When there are 2 people, put enough for 3, especially as there is no housekeeping. Very poor lighting, especially since we like to read.

The facility, cleanliness, and location all exceeded my expectations, the only thing that I can complain about is the front desk clerk upon my check in. She was slightly annoyed at the price that Booking.com sold me the room for, and said in an aggravated voice, “I don’t know why Booking.com would sell you a room that cheap when we have rooms going for $200 right now “. I was thinking in my head the whole time, that that’s not my problem, and I was about to ask to speak to management if she had kept on with the attitude, but she finished checking me in with no further grumpy remarks. And when I came down later to purchase some drinks, the other lady that helped me was very pleasant, it was just the first lady that I encountered who was less than professional.

Nice room with comfy beds! Great location by the highway but far away enough to be nice and quiet. Super friendly staff. Overall a great place to stay. Seemed to be very popular with families.

Breakfast area could be a little more welcoming, that said the selection on the breakfast buffet was very good!

Location.

No cups in the room. 2 shampoos, no conditioner. The towel bar over the toilet holding the bath mat had been pulled loose from the sheetrock at some time and came apart when I took the mat down. All indications of poor room care. Handicapped assist bar in restroom in lobby was out of the wall. You could tell it had been lightly screwed into the wallboard. I hope someone did not get hurt when it came out.

The location was perfect. Like the size of the room.

The bathroom needed to be cleaned a little better. Need to update. The pillows were extremely flat.

The front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful. Booking. Com had made a mistake on our reservation and the attendant worked around the mistake and found us a room.

Traffic and construction and the overwhelming nasty litter in the ditch next to the motel.

Everything was great! Close enough to the New Orleans Airport for morning departure without the $300+ price.

No complaints about anything! It was New Years Eve and we were 2 blocks from a fireworks stand, so it got a little noisy at midnight, but we knew that already. Very happy with our stay. Thank you!

I like the fact that breakfast was provided. My room was clean for the most part.

My bathtub didn’t drain water properly. It took at least 30 mins for the water to go down. That was annoying.

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. My husband is semi-handucapped, and they even brought a shower chair to our room for him. We were thoroughly impressed. The room was exceptionally clean, and the breakfast was delicious!!
