Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Muncie, an IHG Hotel

Facilities and staff were great. Breakfast was plentiful.

We did not know until we arrived that the pool and hot tub were closed for repairs. It could have been a last minute issue, but a heads up would've been nice. I booked this hotel based solely on the breakfast and pool to accommodate my daughter for spring break (12yrs old). So, she didnt get to have the fun time we planned. It is also the reason we checked out a day earlier than planned.

Hotel was conveniently located near anything you would want. It was clean and comfy. Hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful. When checking in our first room the heat was not working, they did not hesitate and moved us immediately, apologizing like crazy.

Nothing. We were working third shift and sleeping in the day, with no issues or loud banging, etc .

The property was located in a really good area. The property was very clean and you smelled the freshness upon entering the hotel!!!

I did not like that the toilet was almost on the floor. It was very very low to the floor. Also, the lights in my room was very dim!!!!

They did a great job, in spite of all the COVID rules.

The staff was great and accommodating, especially the General Manager who worked thru some issues with us. The facility does need some updating. The Holiday Inn's website needs to be updated to clarify their Pet policies. It doesn't match the local hotel's policies which initially caused some frustration. For example, is pet fee assessed per stay or per pet???? Maximum weight 45 lbs or 55 lbs? Size of dog not specified but local hotel only accepts small breeds. Additionally, comments inputted on Booking.Com are not passed thru to Holiday Inn database.

Loved everything bout this hotel . Was the best sleep of my entire trip considering I had a puppy with me . They allow pets for a fee ( kinda pricey). The beds are super comfy. Theres a microwave, fridge , & Keurig ( with coffee & tea kcups). The bathroom was clean . My room overlooked the parking lot which I liked ( could see my truck). I was on the 2nd floor. The staff was helpful as I had my hands full with a puppy , they brought my bags up for me with me . Theres 24hr swimming pool and a great breakfast selection in the morning . They also had by the ice machine coin operated guest washer & dryer. Definitely recommend. If I'm ever in muncie, Indiana I'm definitely coming back !!

Only thing I didnt care for was the $75 non returnable fee. My puppy was 10000% taken care by me . I had wee wee pads & doggy diapers with me so no "mess " was on there carpet & floors . I also had a portable pop up crate so my puppy wasnt lying on the carpet . I think you should charge less or give back some of that fee. At most you had to vacuum some puppy chow but you were gonna vacuum anyway .

Location was good it was easy to get around the city. Restaurant and shopping was very good.

My wife and I are mobility challenged and we were very disappointed that our bathroom was not at all conveniet for us even though I requested it when reservation was made

Breakfast was good considering the circumstances with COVID. Employees are working extra hard but they did so with smiles! They are easy to talk to and were asking if there is anything that they can help us with!

We wish that the heater in the pool was working. The water wasnt super cold so we still got in the pool but couldn't stay for long. Wish that the heater was working so we could've stayed longer. I'm pregnant and was REALLY wanting to swim lol

Breakfast was GREAT! Front desk was very friendly.

We had to get FIVE new room keys because none of them would work, the elevator door wouldn't stay open, our toilet kept clogging. We were in room 318, the air conditioner unit front was falling apart and kept slipping down making it hard to move the temperature dial. Parking lot could not accommodate the hotel being sold out.

There was only one coat hanger. We asked the front desk for more but they could only find one more. Not good enough for an upscale hotel.

Was told pool was open when arrived was told under renovation, I could have stayed next door for a $100 less with a pool that worked. I was truly pissed that I was lied to about the pool cause we had kids with us.
