Courtyard by Marriott Augusta

Hotel was off a main road with many dining and shopping options. It’s old but has been fully renovated. Was glad to see a clean shower, clean pool area and comfortable beds. The pool is heated and has salt water which my family enjoyed. Staff was very friendly and rooms were quiet. They have a Starbucks in the lobby and they also offer a small breakfast menu. Parking is included within the price per night.

The only con is there is no elevator within the building but the stairs to the second floor are easy to climb. It would be nice to have a separate section for smokers as they were in front of the doors and near the pool area.

The location worked for us, close to son's home and that was the reason for the trip. The facility was very clean and nice. There was a little noise when some other guests passed by , but thankfully it was never too loud or long.

Breakfast could be better. Powdered eggs are always a disappointment, and the addition of perhaps breakfast potatoes, or biscuits would be nice.

clean, convenient and updated

beware that if you have an option to add breakfast to your room you are only adding one no matter how many guests. no option given to add more than one. the price for a breakfast is very high - they more than make up for the free one with the additional you have to buy unless you are traveling solo!

The property was clean and well maintained. The pool area and the bistro were nice.

The property is in a very bad part of town. People were walking the streets all day everyday that we were there. Did not feel safe going out alone. Even to the parking lot.

I got a king sized room and the shower was amazing. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. I loved that when i walked in i felt like i was in my own little apartment. And then my room was right next to the pool so i sat outside the night i was there and enjoyed the vibes.

There was nothing that i didnt like. i really enjoye my stay.

The staff was extremely helpful. I had problems with the television and they fixed it immediately. I left a dress shirt and they called me before I was out of town. I was able to retrieve the shirt. There was no elevator but that did not interfere with my plans because I did not have much luggage. I will stay here again when in Augusta.

cleanliness

When I was checking in, I asked the front desk lady did they have an inside pool and she said no, but the Sheraton Hotel does . I DIDN’T like her response!!!! I don’t know if she was having a bad day, but she could have kept her ATTITUDE!!!! I always look for Marriott Hotels when I go out of town, maybe I need to start looking for Sheraton Hotels since they have inside pools!!!

"San" is the sweetest !! Although, I prefer staying at places where the breakfast price is included.

Paying for breakfast. AND coffee should always be free. Free cookies at night is always a treat at some other hotels. Road noise at night kept me up. I'll ask for a courtyard side next time.

I didn't eat the breakfast. I had leftovers from a local restaurant.

On my last night here, there was a newborn baby in the next room that kept crying most of the wee hours during the morning. it woke me up outer my sleep. I was up for quite sometime.

The pool was amazing. The bar area was nice. Wish is was open a little earlier. The staff was exceptional!!! From the front desk to house keeping - amazing.

The bed was horrible!!! it seemed old and worn out and slept terrible.
