The Darwin Hotel

From minute 1 when we stepped inside the door the hospitality and welcome was second to none. We were celebrating our honeymoon and there was a lovely note and origami love hearts left out in our room. I can't remember the front of house staff who checked us in or the others who I met along the way but all staff were unbelievable. So so good.

Loved the bar and the pretty courtyard. Bed was comfortable. Only stayed one night to attend a concert.

The room DIDN'T have a coffee maker!! If you like a cup of coffee in the evening, you're out of luck. There's no free coffee in the hotel!! You have to buy it at the bar in the morning.

the lady at the front Mrs. Chyann was so sweet and helpful. I will most definitely be visiting again.

How small the rooms are but it was great. We really didn't have any dislikes.

Modern and well decorated hotel. Very good location, walking distance to Ponce City Market. Clean and comfortable.

The cleanliness and the Parking wasn’t bad at all..

The staff was super friendly. The decor and sitting spaces were so cute. It is definitely a place where I could hang out casually for a drink.

The hotel is newly renovated & very clean. It has a nice outdoor courtyard by the lobby.

Everything was good, but I wish they gave complimentary bottled water.

I liked the style. The hotel was clean and attractive! I loved the fact that when I left that evening and returned there was security seated at the door watching the parking lot and persons leaving and entering the building.

I was not informed ahead of time there would be a charge for parking at the hotel in which I'm already a guest. What about an extended courtesy for choosing to stay at that property? It sucked and the parking lot is small for a hotel that size. I was later told there is an overflow lot after I went in and inquired after returning back to a full lot. Also. I was supposed to receive a mimosa but when I returned to the hotel from a night out it was late so we got up the next day hoping to receive our origami bird and mimosa and we were told we would have to wait until after 12. It was 11 and we were heading out so we could not get out drink and bird which sucked. I have mimosas with my late breakfast on weekends

The property was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully designed. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. There were events both private and thrown by the property happening that weekend and I enjoyed that. I liked that even though my room overlooked the area where they hosted events, I couldn’t hear much of it in my room. Additionally, the bar had amazing drinks and the food smelled delicious, especially the pizza - I wish I was able to try the food. Having security there was an added plus, especially if leaving your car out all night or just coming in late. the hotel is very close to the highway, several restaurants and shopping. Overall it was an amazing stay and I will definitely book again for the next staycation.

Parking was usually fine, but when there were events it was hard to find parking as a guest and we had to go into overflow.
