Hyatt Regency Sarasota

Hotel was very accommodating especially Sierra at the front desk she was knowledgeable and professional and always willing to assist!! Good meeting space & room accommodations. Nice Holiday decor too!

Noticeable updating & refurbishments needed around the property & building. Exterior painting, interior hallway carpeting and fence around the pool overlooking the harbor is dangerously unsecure and wobbled!!! Also, outdoor pool bartender was rude and not very accommodating!

Ms. Margaret ( the bartender) and staff at the restaurant Current were very hospitable and ensured meals were served hot and tasty. Front staff was friendly and always what ever service needed was provided in a timely manner.

Room was very uncomfortable due to a/c not working properly. Reported this to the front desk personnel but it was stated that the system was old so they apologized. I would highly suggest that this property corporation look into updating their a/c system at the venue. Simply stating that the system is "old" is not an acceptable answer for any customer that patronizes the Hyatt brand .

Breakfast was excellent. Great choices. Super location within walking distance from how town Sarasota.

Need more sun loungers around pool very scarce. Waitresses at breakfast were overworked and therefore not too attentive

A nice clean hotel with a good pool having a view over the inner harbour. We had a room with a balcony and inner harbour view which helped with the whole experience. Breakfast was included in the deal which was good quality and a good idea as there were few immediate other options nearby. However a 15 minute walk will get you into an area with many restaurants.

Not much. Like many places there are hidden costs such as parking either self parking at $25 a day or valet parking at $35 a day.

Property was awesome. Definitely very “resort” like which is what we were looking for. Pet friendly. Excellent location. Amazing staff. We had a king balcony with a view of the pool and the water and it felt truly luxurious. Will definitely stay here again next time we’re in Sarasota. Oh, and free bike and kayak rentals included in the resort fee. $10 self parking. Amazing park for the kids across the street and a little area to sit in the sand in Adirondack’s and look at the sunset. Overall, an excellent experience.

Amazing hotel with comfortables rooms, very clean. My kids enjoyed a lot the pool with the water fall. Breakfast delicious and the restaurant staff was fantastic, specially Jordan, Stephanie and Alejandra during the diners. Our vacations were wonderful in this hotel. I recommend it 100%.

Maybe the menu for dinners must have more options. The staff in the pool were not not good.

The pool is awesome :) but the waterfall part wasn’t working or on when we went.

Tub leaked (but was fixed right away) and back door handle was barely hanging on making it difficult to open and close door. An outlet was also not working, the tvs guide function rarely worked, room keys needed to be reprogrammed daily, bathroom had no extractor fan, so it got hot like the rainforest whenever someone had a shower and then left your room feeling extra humid.

The location to the beaches was perfect.

There are 3 elevators for 10 floors. 1 was broken and the staff elevators didn’t work either. Elevators were usually taken up by the staff with the carts. Had to wait an extended amount of time to get the elevator. From what I have heard the hotel was bought out and the new owner will not be fixing anything since they will be tearing the hotel down in 2 years to place condos there.

The Hyatt’s in a great location for downtown activities. It’s right across the street from a park with a walking trail. The pool area was comfortable with a pool bar.

there is a resort fee at this hotel. Some of the activities associated with the resort fee could use some updates. For example, there were no pool floats or noodles as stated. they had bags and ping-pong, but the bags were crumbly, and there were no ping-pong balls.

Location and good quality

The bathroom sink would clog up every time you used it.
