What I enjoyed most about my stay at the Carousel Motel - Redington is a combination of a several of things. The motel is on a strip that has a good mixture of places for tourists to stay as well as local residential properties creating the environment for traveler of being on vacation but the feel of home remains. There were plenty of local restaurants that serve excellent food, a convenience store, and a laundromat ALL within walking distance. One huge highlight is the beach is literally right behind the motel. If you go through the back entrance and walk less than a minute you are on the beach! Another aspect I enjoyed is the motel is small therefore there is not a huge amount of foot traffic while at the property, there is a beautiful small courtyard available to relax in if you choose and also a porch area if you decide you want to just relax outside for a bit. The motel has efficiency rooms that are well decorated with a home feeling. The room set up is complete with a small stovetop, fridge, cookware, and all the essentials necessary to make yourself a home away from home. The local Winn Dixie is just about a 5-7 minute trolley ride or drive away. You can definitely make yourself at home away from home. I would definitely recommend this place for travelers looking to get away but don't enjoy the crowds that come with staying in larger hotels and definitely for those who may need extend their stay beyond a small getaway.

I did not like that some of the guests were kind of loud at night but they were on vacation and I certainly do not count that against the motel. Overall my stay was exactly what I needed to get away for a bit.

This is a wonderful place to stay for a very reasonable price! The room is large and tastefully decorated in a coastal theme. The kitchen area was clean and spacious with everything you need. The bathroom was clean and neat. I love the fact that the windows open to let the fresh ocean breeze in. While not right on the beach, the hotel is within easy walking distance of the public beach.

The remote on the TV didn't work very well- you had to go right up to the TV to get any of the buttons to work. But this is a very minor detail that didn't spoil our enjoyment of our stay.

The location was great, the room was clean with good size refrigerator, microwave, and two top Burner.. several restaurants in walking distance. Frog pond our favorite Bfast place about a 20 min walk. Grocery 5 min away. Could have done without a vehicle and stayed another week.We liked the small motel, relaxed environment. Judy the host was available for supplies or any information about the area. We will try to go back next year.

Got a sunburn on the first day and had to lay low for a day to heal up. Sunscreen 25 the rest of stay.

This place is the best bang for your buck if you want a place to stay that is super close to a beach and not super crowded. If you a low-key traveler who doesn't need much for room accommodations to get by, go with this place. It's by a beach that's not overcrowded and there is a cute area to sit in outside. Plus, you get access to a kitchenette area if you like to be frugal and cook a few meals for yourself. To get around, there is a bus line that stops in front of the hotel.

The one downside to this place is the amount of restaurants in the area. There are a couple of places to eat, but they don't stay open super late. There is one bar which is a pretty great hangout, but if you're looking for late night entertainment options, you will have to go further than walking distance.

First off, the owner of this place is just absolutely lovely and friendly! So incredibly accommodating. The location is literally a few short steps away from Redington Beach, so this is the place to book if you’re looking for close beach proximity. The room itself was super clean/spotless and all the linens smelled fresh. It’s very spacious inside and you get your own designated parking space (something that’s hard to find for beach-front locations).

Nothing— this place exceeded my expectations.

The property is quaint and well maintained. Its not a 4 seasons but it’s a great location and it was well worth the money for us. We enjoyed the quietness of the property and loved sitting outside our room and talking over some drinks. The beach is a hop skip and a jump away so that was a definite plus!! We highly recommend this place if you’re looking for something easy and relaxing. Don’t worry though! There are things to do around the motel.

It doesn’t have a pool but we made do.

This place was clean, bright and cheerful. The magager was wonderful and really goes above and beyond. (She mailed a postcard for me so I didn't have to find a post office). It's only half a block from the beach. They have beach chairs you can borrow. It has a fully functional kitchen with all the things you would need. (Pans, utensils, plates, etc.) The price was less than any other place nearby and so much better than a big hotel. It is also within walking distance from several restaurants, a convenience store, and a laundromat. They even had a couple beach towels in the room in addition to the regular towels. Best place I've ever stayed at. Will definitely stay here again if I come back down. Not sure why but this app is turning the pictures sideways.

I travel frequently and typically stay in Marriott properties. This time I extended my business trip for R&R on the beach. Any beach "chain" hotel was priced crazy high, and I noticed the Carousel was priced within my range and had great reviews on Trip Advisor. Still I was skeptical. Upon arrival I was greeted by the owner who was exceptionally friendly and accommodating! She showed me my room which was immaculate and "up to date" - I quickly changed to head to the beach and she showed me a bin of beach chairs that I was welcome to use during my stay! Exceptional experience at the hotel & several bars and breakfast places within walking distance as well. I would certainly recommend this place and I look forward to returning to stay again as well!

Great location, 2 minute walk to the beach. Convenient location to restaurants and shopping. The apartment was very clean, met our needs. Owner very nice. They provided beach towels, beach chairs and beach umbrellas!

This was the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed at. I mean “eat off the floor” level clean. The owner was so sweet and helpful as soon as we arrived. The room was equipped with everything we needed except our own food. The beach is very close walking distance and it’s a gorgeous beach. The sunsets were phenomenal. The town is quiet with lots of neat stores and restaurants. We went to the Florida aquarium and it was about 45 minutes away. I would definitely stay here again.
