Great location. Close to everything. Property is currently being renovated. I got to stay in one of the renovated rooms. It was so nice to stay in a room with all new flooring and curtains. The bathroom had also been renovated and had all brand new fixtures. Clean and comfortable. I stayed one night for an event in town. Wish I’d had a little more time to spend in Santa Barbara.

When they’re finished renovating the property, it would be nice if management would include complementary donuts and coffee, or a variety of bakery goods and coffee, in the morning for guests to enjoy.

The guy at the front desk was really nice and very helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We liked that there was no carpet in the room. The noise wasn't too bad and with the white noise app on our phone, it wasn't an issue. The location is great!

The room was pretty basic, and the exterior of the motel isn't terribly attractive, but we kind of expected that at this price point. One suggestion - I think they just renovated the wing we stayed in, but when the beds are replaced again at some stage, beds without the metal surround underneath would be a better option. Every time you walk up to the bed and your foot even touches that metal surround, it sounds like you're being voted off the Gong Show. It's loud! We could even hear it from the neighboring rooms.

Many cold drinks were available to buy next to the Check-in Desk, we walked downtown to a good Italian restaurant, I got a coffee at night to drink in my room.

We had a blackout at 9pm, so I couldn't watch TV, there were no lights or air-con, and I couldn't see to take a shower. We got a partial refund because of the black-out. Lights came on around 6:30 am. Orlando was helpful. The floors were VERY DUSTY ---it seems they vacuum the room but never mop the floor, my feet turned black after half an hour. (Rm 225)

Staff was helpful, gracious, courteous. Good people! Coffee maker in room - yea! I liked the sliding glass door to outside with little table - nice place to sit in afternoon sun with a coffee and my computer. The heating unit was one of the best I've found in a motel. Towels were fluffy and seemed rather new.

The only thing missing is carpet. I know its old school to like it but it muffles sounds, feels good on the feet and vacuuming gets up dirt in a way cleaning a laminate does not. The laminate floors do not soundproof or muffle sound in any way. It amplifies sound and you just don't need that in a motel room.

Only stayed for one night, but it was a great experience. Checking in and out was easy and no issues at all. Staff was nice, our room was clean and well-designed, A/C worked well, plenty of parking spaces, and the bed was comfortable. The location is right next to a 7/11 & AM/PM, which is perfect for a quick snack and water pick-up, and situated just outside of the SB downtown area, only walking distance away. We had a small baby and the space worked for us three. Furthermore, we requested for a late checkout and they were able to accommodate an extra hour for us! Thanks!

Honestly, everything was great. For the price (SB price comparison) it was everything we needed. You're not going to get all the frills of a hotel- it's a motel-but if you'll be out exploring, it's the perfect spot to sleep and relax when you need it. They even have a pool, but we didn't have time to use it. No complaints, definitely recommend.

The location is great, nice and quiet. It's next to a 7/11. If you do drive around, they do have on site parking. The front desk always has someone there.

Our bed was alittle on the stiff side. So the bed frame is hollow metal. So when your accidently kick it, it makes a big sound. The backdoor slides open and leads dtraight to the pool area. In terms of safety, we did feel fine, just remember to double check the backdoor and the locks are all done properly, and the sliding door is properly closed up against the rail and you hear a click of the lock properly latching.

Good value for money in expensive Santa Barbara. Walking distance to the city center and train station. We didn’t bring a car, but the parking options looked good as well. Free coffee in the lobby, wide selection of other beverages. Plenty of hot water and spacious room. Clean enough, the other reviews are too harsh in that regard.

VERY thin walls. Not much traffic noise, but we were unlucky with our neighbours to say the least. The room was also a bit on the colder side, but extra blankets were available.

Stayed here several times in the past, nice to return to familiar, convenient place. Very friendly and helpful staff & owner. Recently remodeled single queen room, great walk-in shower in bathroom. Nice table & chair setups outside in several areas. Great location just beyond the core hustle and bustle of State Street.

Previous desk-and-chair set-up worked better for getting work done (as I was traveling for work). Would be great to have a compact desk chair. Nice to have big comfy chairs, but space is pretty tight, so might suggest having one (for a single queen room) and arranged to face the TV. (Was pretty big to move solo and didn't want to damage the nice new flooring.)

While you're a short walk from most things, we appreciated that the location provided a quiet safety net from anyone who might be wandering home from the nightlife on Upper State St. It was awesome have a safe place to park during the day/overnight as we walked everywhere else. The room itself was fairly large and comfortable.

To no fault of the motel, the neighboring room left their tv on—full blast—whether or not they were in the room.

I loved that it was very close to a 7/11 and an ampm gas station. Parking is available on site and everything looked well kept up. the room was very pleasant and did not have any bad odors. the staff was very friendly.

I did not like that the rooms were paper thin. Tip: the Tv takes a few minutes to start showing channels, so just turn it on and leave it on. You can hear some normal traffic but nothing too bad it’s just a lot of room for echo because of the design of the building.
