The Westin San Francisco Airport

It has great proximity to the airport. This made the process of getting to our flight on time much easier. The beds were super comfy so you can get a great night of sleep as well. I thought the staff I interacted with way very kind as well.

It's pricy, but I don't know if you could expect otherwise in San Fransisco. The location around the hotel is a car infested cess-pool so it is hard to walk anywhere without feeling like you are taking your life into your hands but that is a city issue and not one with the property.

It was close to the airport that is why we booked there and we wanted a 4-star hotel. The room was great with a lovely bed and nice pillows and sheets. The shower too was excellent. Booking in our person was helpful and efficient. As a vegetarian I was very pleased to see an interesting option on the menu rather than oh well maybe we can do this for you. The dish too went down well.

The restaurant lacked class I thought and was more like a diner that is how the the approach of the hostess and the waiter landed for me. Also as we had the day before our flight at 10pm I wanted to do some shopping. There did not seem to be a concierge so I asked one of the check in people and she had no idea nor did she seek any assistance to be able to help me. Perhaps more training in what's around the hotel would be of value.

We stayed for one night. The hotel shuttle picked us up from the airport fairly promptly. Staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful and showed us how to get the shuttle back to the airport the next day and onto the Bart so we could spend the day in San Francisco before our flight. The room was spacious as was the comfortable bed. The bathrooms were clean and the shower hot. After a long-haul flight, we appreciated the black out curtains which allowed us to go to sleep very early and not be disturbed by the light. If there was aircraft noise, we didn't notice it. We wanted to be close to the airport and it is exactly that.

The hotel decor is tried and dated. The staff were doing their best but they were clearly tired and needed a holiday too. The in house Starbucks was closed so there was nowhere to get a coffee or a snack other than the restaurant. There was no alternative place to buy food within walking distance. The place was pretty clean but a bit dusty here and there. That said, we would stay there again if, as we were, breaking up a long-haul flight.

Book a room for 3 adults to have a nap during our layover at San Fransisco before our next flight that night. Comfy bed, easy check in, comfy room, appreciate the personalised welcome message on the TV in our room, frequent free shuttle bus to the airport. We didn't get a chance to experience other amenities or the restaurant onsite. We landed in San Fransisco after 11 hours flight from London and was about to embark on another 15 hours flight to Melbourne. So all we did was napping. The room and the beds were comfortable that we managed to go to sleep very quickly.

- Need more customer service officer while there was a long queue of people to be attended to. We missed the original shuttle because we were in queue for a while to check out. Thankfully we managed to board the plan with still some time to spare - Signage on where to wait for the shuttle bus as there are 2 separate exits/entrances but only 1 is for the shuttle bus

The bed is very comfortable (probably what you would expect from Westin). The windows are pretty soundproof: you can't hear the planes although it is right by the runway. Staff is friendly.

The breakfast at the restaurant is kind of expensive and the only alternative is a starbucks. I waited at the airport for the shuttle bus for quite a long time since it was full the first time. Wi-fi is slow and not unconditionally free (requires registration of their membership).

The bed was very comfortable. Really like the weighted blanket. Like that the shower head was a little different then the norm and like it offered a handheld option. Also, appreciate the large bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the showers. Everyone knows hotel toiletries are never big enough.

I didn't like that anything extra, even the littlest thing was an extra charge. I thought the price for parking was pretty pricey ($37). I feel that should be included with the room. They could even give guest a parking number to keep track of outside people trying to park in there. And charging for wifi that's a little tacky in my opinion. The fact they try to make you sign up for a royalty program just so you can get free wifi. Just for the price of the room you think they would offer you a bit more.

our room was a nice size and the beds were comfortable. The shuttle service is frequent: every 15 minutes. The breakfast was excellent: the eggs were nicely cooked, the bacon and sausage were flavorful, and the fried potatoes were very tasty. The fresh fruit was very good and I really appreciated that plain yogurt was available.

Soundproofing between our room and the one next-door was poor. The other people were not speaking loudly, but we could hear them clearly. Also, the shower was impossible to turn off so that it didn’t drip.

My check-in experience was going in the wrong direction, as they couldn't find my reservation. The representative got creative and found my name (The Booking.com representative accidentally added the first initial of my middle name to my last name). The Representative waved our parking space fee and gave us a disability room (closer to the elevator, so my little sister didn't have to walk down a very long hallway.

We requested a bay view, but it was predominantly of the front parking lot. If we looked to the right, we could see the bay.

Room was great, except we were initially placed in a room with only one bed and we needed two beds. We were moved quickly to another room. Transportation to the SFO Airport was excellent, as was the food.

We could never figure out how to appropriately operate the air conditioner. I inadvertently left a long sleeve white blouse in the room, but no one contacted me to say that it was found or being kept for me. I could not contact the hotel because we left early the next morning for Spain, and during the next 2 weeks were on a ship in Portugal where we had no internet and only infrequent wifi.

I got upgraded to an included breakfast option. Even arriving at almost midnight, on an international flight, I was able to catch the final 'free' shuttle to the hotel. Travelling alone, this is a great advantage. The receptionist was extremely kind.

When I checked in they were going to charge me extra for wifi and I was already paying over $200. This seemed outrageous and I reacted strongly. The receptionist kindly removed the charge and I did have wifi included in what I paid.
