Gaige House

I really loved this place. The excellent taste of the building and the room. It was the perfect stay for our anniversary. They even give us an upgrade since they have the availability. Great pool, beautiful gardening and perfect location, next to good restaurants. The complimentary cheese & wine in the afternoon was a plus.

Breakfast was good quality but there were only a few options. You really need your car to move around, the restaurants are 3 mins away but you cannot walk since there are no sidewalks.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Rooms were beautiful and very spacious. Pool area was beautiful. Wine hour and fresh cookies was a lovely touch. Staff went above and beyond. Lovely location with close restaurants and cafes close by alongside lovely walking trails. Breakfast in the hotel was delicious. Such a relaxing stay for a weekend!

The staff was very welcoming and attentive. The breakfast, afternoon sake and cheese hour were excellent. We really enjoyed the serene quiet, and that our privacy prioritized. The decorum of the room made us feel like we were back in a real Ryokan in Japan.

Having been to an authentic Ryokan, all meals are included not just breakfast and snack. It would be great to have an option to have that in the future. It is really nice sometimes not having to leave the property for the duration of the stay, and having all three meal options would just set this place above the other hotels in the area.

Staff was exceptional. Super helpful. We texted that we needed towels at the pool and they brought them. The rooms were wow! A ten ton stone tub, meditation room, cool curtains. I totally felt like I was in Japan. This place is a gem. Don’t pass it up. And around the corner is a Michelin star restaurant.

Quiet, clean, Japanese atmosphere, Staff were super friendly and nice, the room is surprisingly big, the hot tub in the spacious bathroom could wipe off all the tiredness. Didn’t get to enjoy it but there are free good wine as well as Sake during the happy hour.

It’s not too close to the main popular wineries, had to drive 30-min rough road to get there but would be great option if you intend to get away from city noises.

Room in japanese style was amazing and is the (only) reason for 10 points.

Room service breakfast was just bad (presentation and food wise). Skip the breakfast and choose one of the nice restaurants or cafes in Sonoma.

Loved the tranquil atmosphere @ Gaige House. The continental breakfast was lovely and we also appreciated the wine tasting. Loved the shower, decor & toiletries,too. The grounds @ Gaige House were superb and we would love to have had more time to enjoy the pool and spa.

Cannot think of a thing.

It is gorgeous and super clean. I’m vaccinated but I’m very uncomfortable in places where people are not wearing masks or socially distant. I didn’t have one Covid concern and felt more comfortable there than I have living in my own apartment in regards to Covid.

Everything was great. I don’t have any feedback here.

We arrived late but they left clear instructions how to find the keys and the house. We lost a camera on the premise and only realized it after we left. When we asked the hotel, they told me they found the camera and agreed to mail it back to us.

The location was very good and also close to a busy roadway that was noisy. The room I stayed in was Likely not the best room I am traveling with my dog and they do not typically permit those so I’m very grateful Accommodations were made for us. There were a number of other rooms At the property that seem much more inviting and I’m sure they were nevertheless I think it’s a great property. Having the cheese and wine at check in with a nice bag of crackers very nice and the breakfast in the morning was delicious.
