Blue Lake Casino and Hotel

On the last day we had breakfast at Alice's and we were the only people in there. They took our drink order and brought me my drink and forgot to bring my husband's drink. Then nothing. We were forgotten about. I had to ask for them to take our order and by this time my husband didn't want his coffee. They took the order and my husband asked for the vegetarian breakfast sandwich. The food comes out and it's the wrong order for him. It was an egg omelette they brought out. So the stay was nice but would not recommend Alice's. We were the only people in there for 20 min. Horrible service. There was 2 severs a cook and it looked like someone else came up to chat with them too as we got ignored.

SMOKE FREE! Smoke free gaming floors, restaurants, hotel rooms! The restaurant service was excellent, we were here for my birthday, we had picked up one of my favorite celebration deserts at bakery and we wanted ice cream we came down to the restaurant 15 minutes before they were closing and they were so gracious, saying of course come in and enjoy the celebration. Also all the food we had was very good—especially the sushi bar, the head sushi chef was attentive to the people he was serving, the presentation and tastes were exactly what I anticipated! Loved our experience at both restaurants…

There really wasn’t anything I didn’t like

The restaurant options were great the hotel was brand new and it felt like it! It was a fun place to hang out for a few days. They also had some good entertainment lined up over the weekend. The Mad River Brewery and BBQ place down the street are fantastic!!

I REALLY wish they had SOMETHING set up for kids to do. Just some small things - OR work closer with the local community center to advertise the options. We were in Humboldt for a family vacation so we needed to split up the time.

The beds were very comfortable. The room was very spacious. The shower was large and well cleaned and easy to walk in. Great amount of towels available and the cable TV had hundreds of channels. It was also a dog-friendly hotel so we got to see a couple of very cute and well-mannered dogs while we were there.

The halls were a little dark towards the back of the building but it's a tiny complaint.

Spacious room with good amenities, clean, comfortable bed, free parking

Walls are not soundproof and if you have a loud neighbour, you will hear them. Moreover, it’s adjacent to a casino and some guests come back from the casino late at night and talk loudly in the corridors without considering other guests are resting. Hotel should remind guests of the noise policy, if there is any.

Everyone was so welcoming and worked very hard to keep the place tip top!

The pool and hot tub closes to early. There were men staying there from working hard on the roads and they were soaking in hot tub but all were told to get out at 10pm. If people are utilizing the hot tub I feel like maybe atleast that should stay open later.

Nicely updated big rooms, good restaurants in the casino next door, excellent attentive staff, easy parking, the hotel is in good repair and practiced good Covid protocols (Visit was at the tail end of the Covid pandemic)

Bed is a little too firm (of course that’s subjective). Our second night we had a ‘stomper’ in the room above us. We didn’t complain, as it is not the hotel’s fault. But it did make going to sleep before a long drive a little more difficult. The continental breakfast is really just all sugary food (muffins, granola bars, pastries and sweetened yogurt), 3 items would basically be 100% of your recommended daily allowance of added sugar, so it would be nice to have a little protein available, maybe some nuts, cheese etc.

The hotel staff were AWESOME. The first night we were there, there were some very loud guests next door to us. The manager offered to either send security to ask them to be quiet, or move our rooms. Since it was a Bachelorette party we opted to move away from them. They found us a quiet room and helped us move within minutes. The rooms are spacious and the beds were very comfy. The staff responds instantaneously to any requests and the service feels very personal. The adjoining casino was well maintained and we had a lot of fun gambling there. The hotel followed Covid protocols and we felt safe. Thank you Blue Lake Casino. We'll be back.

Due to covid there was no housekeeping. The coffee they provided for their grab and go breakfast was not great.

I was disappointed in having to pay 10% tribal tav on each nights stay basically adding another 60$ to my total bill . Because this is a reservation land they do not have to charge sales tax.for the state of calif.but you get charged a tribal tax very disappointed since I paid 200 a night for the room

The rooms are beautiful but we did have some stains on the main comforter.

One of the waitresses in the Alice restaurant was not friendly at all. She had no visible name tag but she stood with her arms crossed, never smiled, never said you’re welcome, she was just super unfriendly.
