Hyatt Place Fairbanks

Paige was definitely our favorite! She was always in a good mood, and it seemed like she just does it all! Not once did I see her just breath, she deserves a raise for her hard work! The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The fireplace and bar and nice. Trash was never left in the hallways, the cleaning team was on top of that.

Since we were there for almost a week, the breakfast got really boring. It was basically the same thing every day. The pool area could have been a little cleaner/updated, it was very old and felt like it needed an upgrade to feel clean again. There was no room service the entire time we were there, so we asked to borrow the vacuum but weren't allowed to use it. The room definitely got dirty.

Most comfortable bed of any chain I've stayed at. Right off the highway, close to Lowe's, Wal-Mart, Sportsman's Warehouse if you're camping and need anything. Morning breakfast was typical but tasty: oatmeal, sausage, potatoes, eggs, bread assortments, diced fruit, juice, coffee, cereal and variety of milks.

Only downside was Labor Day holiday, so in restaurant bar was closed amd we had to leave for dinner after a long day. Not a deal breaker though, plenty of options nearby.

Room was clean and felt you could walk barefoot on the floors. Breakfast was great with various options each day on what you can have. Need to make sure of the cleaning arrangements to have your room clean which we only used one time but enough to get new towels and clean up a little. Staff was fantastic in help and really recommend this hotel.

One time coming down to eat breakfast there were a group of people that were waiting to leave. Once breakfast opened, they swarmed like locusts and just took all they could instead of thinking of others. Grabbed all the food and coffee not thinking of just taking a small portion and leaving some for others. I suggest that if a large crowd is seen, someone from the staff attempt to control the area by forming a line and ask that they take a portion and come back for more. I will admit that the staff worked extra hard to provide more food after the locusts hit.

clean and location

i called the front desk to arrange shuttle service to the airport. apparently the shuttle driver called in sick and they didn’t notify us. after waiting in the lobby for 15 mins, we inquired when the shuttle would arrive and that’s when the clerk told us that there is no driver. bad communication on their part. but they called a taxi which they paid for.

everything was great ! most if the staff was really helpful. close to the bus station to use public transportation and to wal mart etc.

i think they could use an all day water station along with the hot water they had. staff consistency when we arrived the shuttle wasn’t warmed up so I needed to cal a taxi company to pick us up. when we left same thing but the concierge called the taxi for us.

The front desk staff were so friendly & the pool was actually warm! Hot tub very relaxing! The bar was nice for a mom needing a relaxing drink too! The room was great, bed very comfy! Microwaves in the rooms would be helpful though (they had one in the lobby we could use). Definitely a nice family friendly place to stay!

Heater on overdrive, but I just shut it off for awhile to cool down. They were working on fixing it.

The staff was super friendly, the hotel is new and clean.. plus, the location was very convenient. Bed was comfy and the TV is huge and a smart tv. Also, when we had to get a taxi to get us to the airport, the front desk paid for it.

I wish the bar / restaurant would have been open before 5:00 p.m. but besides that everything else is perfect.

Everything was great, except we had asked for Handicap room, and did not get one.

We are older and need a handicap bathroom , there were no grab bars to get off the toilet, so we had to go help each other off the toilet, for our entire stay. We did ask for handicap room when making the reservation and our reservation said we were getting a handicap room, and felt we paid to have that type of room, but when we got there to check in, the room was not available? We felt we were paying the higher rate for the room we needed, but did not get it.

Friendly staff and everything you need is within walking distance like Walmart, food and some shopping. The place is neat and good breakfast.

I wish we could have stay longer. And maybe airport shuttle. We landed at FAI 2130 and took taxi instead.

Poor breakfast with covid 19 at red level no masks and patrons serving themselves. Large room but huge wasted space. Super quiet.

King size bed was horrible . Sat on one side and it was soft and lumpy. Horrible for a $279 room. Priced too high for value . $179 tops
