The rooms was very clean and well presented. However, my main compliment to this inn is how accommodating the staff are. I’m suffering from HG and so didn’t feel well enough to eat in the restaurant, but desperately needed to eat. They very kindly allowed my husband and I to order food from the restaurant and eat in our room. Even though I had been feeling unwell all day, the food was absolutely delicious (we had the vegan burger). Thankyou so much to the staff for helping us with this.

Unfortunately our room was almost over the kitchen and above the entrance to the inn which meant it was a little noisy in the evening.

I’ve been here about 5 times over the last 15 years and I shouldn’t say his really, but it is the best place in Kent for food and stay. The reason I’ve been here ‘only’ five times, is because on other occasions it had been fully booked. The rooms are absolutely great and the food has improved a lot over the years. Mind you, it is a classy menu, you can’t order the typical pubgrub like fish and chips orgammon steak. For me it’s great to have a nice change to have something different. There is ample parking space and also there is a lovely patio and a very large beergarden, great for children too! Breakfast is wonderful and nicely presented. The Channeltunnel is 20 minutes away by car. But the village of Wye is in the middle of some outstanding countryside. The best thing is to go there and to see for yourselves and have a great time!

The hotel accommodated ourselves and our Bernese Mountain Dog for 1 night. On arrival, we were met by an extremely friendly welcome and a member of staff accompanied us to our delightful room. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious, very promptly served and the member of staff that served us took the trouble to allow us to sample a wine that he recommended for our main course. The wine was spot-on. The hotel is also the most dog-friendly establishment that I have stayed in. Overall, an exceptional place to stay. Thanks to all the staff that made our all too short stay a great experience.

Nothing.

We were travelling home from Spain and this place is just right for the tunnel. Check-in was easy and we were staying in one of the dog friendly rooms in the stables. These rooms are smallish but OH HOW STYLISH! And if you want some space saver ideas take your notebook EVERYTHING we needed was in our room which was warm clean and very comfy. And then we went into dinner WOW try the "posh fish and chips" pan fried cod loin cooked to perfection, crispy seaweed in just a touch tempura batter and the "bestest" chips I've ever eaten. Hubby had beef a pie big enough to feed 2 and the filling was so tender and full of flavour I don't think he'll ever want to try another anywhere else. And then..... BREAKFAST! I could ramble on but let's just say that we have been B&B providers for 10 years (now retired) never did we think we'd find anyone else who provided a breakfast better than ours. Well this is the very best breakfast anywhere with a lovely choice of cooked locally sourced produce and plentiful chilled items. I defy anyone to not find something here they want to eat to start their day in a very special way. LASTLY.... but very importantly - the staff are all WONDERFUL! I expect you guessed we'll be back! Thank you all so very much, we thought service like this was a thing of the past, delighted you've proved it's still available you just have to book the right place.

I tried and tried to think of something and couldn't. IT'S JUST WONDERFUL! No space above but..... Sorry just one more plus point - I noticed they even have a service area in the car park for cyclists to wash their bikes and check them over is there nothing these clever folk haven't thought of?

The staff were very friendly and accommodating and they could not do enough for our dog. Every morning he got a doggie breakfast and there were even treats on arrival for him. The little box of goodies was very much appreciated and is a nice touch when you arrive in your room. We could not fault the breakfast and meals that we had. The room was spotless and very comfortable. I would certainly recommend for anyone stopping with a dog.

Generous food, very well cooked. Lovely room. individual feel, tastefully decorated. People wonderfully helpful, friendly, relaxed while being constantly aware of what’s going on. Tunnocks tea cakes with coffee/ tea orders!

In the bathroom, which was otherwise very charming. Only thing I would comment on is the configuration of Bath taps on the side of the Bath where you get. In, either for the shower or a both. When you get les flexible, they pose a bit of a challenge to ensure you clear them without catching your foot.

Just got back from a one night stay at this beautiful charming retreat. We had the robin room 10 in the old stable block which is just behind the pub and great private access. The room was beautifully decorated modern and clean, it’s ideal for a couple and a small dog, probably best to book a larger room if you have a larger dog or more than one. Every need is taken care of and so personal really making it an experience. The bar is amazing with a big open fire and amazing choice of drinks. The dining room again is very quaint and highly recommend the mussels! Now any place can be nice with money spent on it, however what makes it special is the staff. George checked us in very smart approachable and friendly recommending walks and being on hand to help in anyway he could. Then there was Gary who kept everyone we saw happy and smiling, you could tell he was loved by guests and locals alike. The thing that Gary did best was noticing all the little details like what drinks people like and he tended to know what you wanted before you even did, little touches like serving a nice red wine with some amazing cheddar to compliment the flavors and also serving our little doggy with her own cocktail glass of treats. Thank you all so much. Sorry for a long review and only a few photos but we were too busy eating amazing food and playing cards by the fire with some great drinks.

Wifi in the room was not the best but just gave us more time to enjoy the place

We loved everything about our stay. The staff were so keen to make sure we had the best stay possible. There is plenty of on-site parking, the room was lovely and quiet, the bed was very comfortable, the breakfast and evening meals were excellent and at a good price. We loved it that the wood burner was alight by 8.00 in the morning and greeted us on our way to breakfast. The Wi-Fi in the Stable Block was poor but it was great in the pub so that was fine. We can’t speak highly enough about our stay here.

This was my second stay at New Flying Horse Inn and again it was absolutely fantastic. This is a great pub with an open fire set in a lovely Kentish village. The room I stayed in, which is their family room, was a good size, nicely decorated, and furnished well. The food is far from standard pub fare and is certainly equal to many quality restaurants I have eaten in and probably explains why all the tables were taken during my two-night stay. All the staff, without exception, were polite, attentive, and genuinely want to make sure you enjoy your stay here.

We arrived late due to delays on the shuttle but by phoning ahead to let them know we were put down to attend the evening meal. The pub was very busy when we arrived but we were sat down and able to order a meal. The room was a little compact but for an old building good. Otherwise an enjoyable stay and we would use again.

A small issue with breakfast my partner would have preferred a normal sized yogurt as provided by other hotels and the toast (granary) was thin and disappointing
