Days Inn Hotel Warwick South - Southbound M40

The staff every time I have stayed have been so helpful and polite, I have seen 2 different staff during my stays and all of them have been super helpful and a joy to speak to, It makes the whole experience even better and what value for money, I stayed in the holiday Inn one week which was more expensive, but the days inn was a lot more comfy and I actually preferred it so I will be booking the days inn for all my future business trips.

Only a small note to say it would be nice to have some decaf drinks options in the room if possible.

Clean,simple room

Breakfast - booked breakfast included but didnt realise it wasnt at the hotel so it was only one option of a full cooked breakfast served out 'Chopsticks' in the Services and I had to pay for my child's breakfast as booking.com only did it for over 18's. So paid extra £8.99 for a breakfast my child didnt want because I wasnt aware there were NO other options (like toast, cereal, croissants, fruit) Rather expensive, rubbish breakfast for us 2 - wont do that again!

Perfect location, good grounds for off road parking, picnic tables to enjoy summer evenings, My room had private bathroom,tea & coffee facilities & TV overall a good spacious room.

Unfortunately the bed wasn't comfortable at all. Would have preferred a shower & not to stand in a bath with the shower over as I have mobility problems & didn't feel safe Apart from that I had a really pleasant stay & the staff couldn't be more helpful & also very friendly.

I booked at about the lowest price point, was not expecting a great deal from a site on a motorway services. But my room was large - allocated a family room - and perfectly well appointed for my overnight stop needs. I was at the back of the building overlooking the back of the site - its all green - so was actually quiet with the window closed. Receptionist at arrival had good local knowledge - suggesting some village pubs close at hand.

The wifi directed to on the doorcard folder was not visible when I made an attempt to connect. I did nothing about it......as I could do without for my very short need. I wouldnt want to leave a precious car outside. I did note there are cameras, but that doent help prevent an incident with anyone using the services just wandering through....

The staff here are very welcoming and always try to fulfil requests above and beyond the expected standard. The staff were able to allocate me a quieter room as I work night shifts. My car felt secure when it was parked at the services. I was not disturbed during my stay.

Unfortunately the rooms need updating. There was only one wall outlet socket in the room. There was no plug in the bathroom sink and the shower drain had dirt/tissue on it.

It was clean and fresh. No chemical smells or dogs. Good size room on ground floor. Lots of towels and tp

The mattress was awful. The springs had no padding over them. And I felt the springs lying on the bed. It's not a mattress it's more like a Box spring you put under a mattress for support. I reported this to the staff. Also felt the mattresses in 2 other rooms and on my way out and they were the usual.

No problems at all as it was exactly as I expected. The room was big enough for three and it was nice to have a double bed to myself. Looked perfectly clean but I was only there one night and I was very tired so didn't really look closely.As it's at a Motorway Services parking was absolutely no problem and I can't imagine it ever being.

Had to wait 10 minutes or more for anybody to show up at reception but I wasn't in a hurry. Very bland but no more so than similar chain hotels. No bar Not the hotel's fault but when I left I was heading northward and,as others have said, you have to go southward down the M40. I didn't think it a big deal as it's not far to the first exit. Unfortunately that was closed due to roadworks and it IS a long way to the next one.

Parking near Days Inn now fenced off....so parking now more remote and used by any Welcome Break visitor (which changes very frequently) and feels much less secure.

The room was perfect for our needs for the weekend. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Tea and coffee facilities were great although we did bring our own milk supplies !! The staff were very friendly and always cheerful.

With hindsight I would have preferred a room at the back of the hotel. We had to keep the windows open due to the temperature and we could hear the motorway noise, although it was not too loud. The extractor in the bathroom wasn't working so the door had to be open whilst showering.

We booked for the South bound side but were asked to change to the North bound side, no problem. A little bit difficult to find as it was not clear to us that the Days Inn was actually on the site of the Welcome Break motorway services, tucked around at the end in a nice quiet spot. It is basic and a little tired but super clean, everything you needed was there, TV, kettle and drinks tray, shower and bath, hairdryer. Staff were lovely and really helpful. Bed was comfortable. No noise, we had a room at the end of the corridor tucked away and backing onto open land or farmland. Spotless towels and bed linen. All for a terrific price. We had stopped overnight in readiness to travel onto the NEC which was only 30 minutes drive away but will allow an hour next time as once we got nearer to the NEC the traffic was very slow.

Better directions would have helped as the postcode took us for a trip around the countryside and we should have been told to stay on the M40
