only allowed to use the spa between 5-9pm ( so andy you arrive you won’t have any time to eat dinner as dinner ends at 9pm) and 6-10 am ( no time to eat breakfast or have any treatments )

beautiful property and location feels very homely

there were a few things, as Champneys are a brand bit disappointing that toiletries were just standard hotel products, they should of been Champneys. bit tacky to have large security tags on robes, I highly doubt anyone would take them, they were over used, rough , clearly no fabric softener had been used, they were very stiff. Rooms are very basic of a premier inn standard, I would imagine . But they are clean. There should be fresh towels by the pool etc or gym equipment.

The facilities. Hydro pool is my personal favourite. Felt comfortable being on my own. I also like the cafe. Had tea there after breakfast. Also liked the view from the window. Nice to open the window in the morning and breathe clean air...

I liked everything. I think it would be nice to have a small fridge or cooler in the room in summer. Most rooms of this standard( and it was a very good standard ) have a fridge

I really liked the wide variety of treatments available and the food menus which catered for all diets. The customer service was also of a high quality. This was the best spa getaway experience I've had. I will definitely be returning soon.

The building looks very impressive from the exterior and when one enters the reception, however there are some areas of the building which need some renovation and decoration, which is disappointing. .

Beautiful location with room overlooking lawns

I asked for a quiet room due to working nights and sleeping in the mornings. The room I had was next to a slamming door. The staff came into my room even though I locked it from the inside to clean whilst I was trying to sleep - waking me up. There was no information in the room about the facilities, breakfast times etc.

I loved it. Peaceful, relaxing, delicious food. The grounds are beautiful, lots of old trees. The hydrotherapy pool is wonderful. I am doing rehab for broken shoulder, it was the perfect place to do this.

Unlike the rest of the staff, a couple of senior staff are less than friendly. There is no evidence of an eco policy, no notices about washing towels etc, and no recycling. This is a big negative for me. The country walk - the leader went much too fast for older members, did not wait for people who were far behind, and knew nothing about the countryside. The outside jacuzzi was too cold. They do not currently have a physio despite offering it.

First visit to this type of spa establishment but enjoyable

Not so much that i didn't like it but confused as to the dress code, I fully understand that it is a spa but considering the dress code is "Smart casual" it seemed confusing that people were eating their evening meal in the dining room in swim suit tops and gowns. I felt slightly overdressed at one point. Our room was nice but bathroom looking rather tired. Like i say though this is my first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent food too.

Beautiful location, amazing pool and spa facilities. The food was nutritious, healthy and tasty. The whole place felt calm, serene and welcoming

If you book a cheap deal through Booking.com you can't use the spa facilities between 9.00am and 5pm. If you are using the hotel as a base, as I was, this is fine. If you think you are booking a spa break, you'd be in for a nasty shock! The room wasn't top notch but was clean, comfortable and I was on a cheap deal - so it did represent good value in proportion to what I'd paid

loved the facilities and the location excellent venue , good value for money

the staff move at a very slow pace , check in and check out is very slow when you arrive at the restaurant there is only 1 host so if there is a Que you could be waiting 15 mins to be seated . i think the staff need to speed up generally but everything else was exceptional no late night room service or bar

It was a fantastic break away and time to relax in beautiful surroundings.

Hard to work your way round the location. There could be more distinct signage particularly in the outer grounds trying to find way in and out. It took a long time and several times of asking to get a pot of tea at breakfast.
