You can see that this hotel is loved by its owner. Amazing attention to detail, spotless and well maintained along with a welcoming attitude. Nicely cooked breakfast. Excellent location, nice view from the front of the hotel. On the edge of the town centre and close to the beach. Very good value price.

Be aware that if you have limited mobility, rooms are on the 1'st, 2'nd and 3'rd floors. There is no lift and the final flight of stairs to the 3'rd floor loft rooms is steep, winding and not much fun. No free parking anywhere nearby though I felt this was compensated for in the very competitive price for our stay. There are pay for use car parks just behind the hotel and on street parking at the front (£13.20 per day at time of writing) though you may have to wait for a space if arriving in the middle of the day.

We had a lovely warm friendly receprion on our arrival. The room was clean and tidy and had a wonderful view of the Thames Estuary. Friendly, attentive staff, made us feel welcome. Good selection of breakfast menu, catering for a range of tastes. Overall our stay was excellent and we would happily book again.

Being a Saturday, taxis were hard to get and a wait of around 30-45 minutes seemed to be the best they could do. We tried a few taxi firms and found the same with each of them. Getting back was even more challenging, we called for a taxi at around 10:00pm and despite giving our name, when the taxi eventually arrived almost an hour later, the driver reported not having a name. All we hope is that we didn't end up taking someone elses taxi from the venue.

this hotel made me and my partners trip a very memorable and delightful stay. the service was impeccable and super friendly the staff were extremely attentive and one lady stood out her name was Laura she made sure we had extra water and anything else we might have needed. additionally she made checking in easy and convenient and stress free.. the room (lady H ) was beautifully decorated, very bright, open and exceptionally comfortable with a great modern look. not too mention the shower was Devine with three different ways too shower. The breakfast was laid in a very thought out manor which makes it a perfect place too bring a loved one for a more classic classy feel. lastly which is why we said the service was exceptional is that the staff allowed us too leave our suitcases so we could enjoy the last day of our trip which they did not have too do. this act of kindness on behalf of Laura and the hotel really just made things perfect will definitely be booking again more then once and very soon.

Excelent location, lovely warm welcome, helpful, owners, clean, spacious and superbly presented room. We booked the bacolny suite, and it was absolutely stunning spacious, with everything that you would want or expect. Also lovely and warm bearing in mind we stayed in January. Will be rebooking later in the year and have already recommended it to both friends and colegues. If you want a lovely stay, really well situated for the town, overlooking the pier and just about a 10 min walk from the Casino via Rossis of course.

Nothing! No negatives 5 out of 5. Everything was great. the only thing i cant comment on is the parking, we arrived by train, again an easy walk probably 5 mins or loads of taxis available. There are paid spaces at the front and access is really easy, It has been stated in other reviews that I'm led to believe that there is cheap / free parking within a couple of minutes walk, but im sure that the owners will point customers in the right direction.

The location is great, right in the middle of everywhere I wanted to go to. Parking good (car park just around the corner). The room was very clean and quiet, and a decent size. The shower was impressive. The bed was comfortable and the room had everything I wanted. Breakfast was excellent - continental selection and full English. The staff were very accommodating. Local information available.

The only downside was a lack of lift - but it is an old building!

Easy to locate and good parking in nearby car park. Free from 18:00/08:00. The breakfast was superb and impeccable service! Close to town centre and sea front.

Described as a boutique hotel, but not sure why? It’s an adequate bed and breakfast. The shower was a little grubby at the lower end. The toilet was too near to shower door and a very tight fit. The cistern was fault and leaked overnight. We paid £150.00 for B & B and considered it to be over priced.

Debbi and her team were very friendly, they were able to make an exception for early check in as we had a wedding reception to attend. Very clean, comfortable accommodation. Would happily recommend if you're staying in Southend on Sea, near sea and high street.

We only stayed for one night and our room was fine and good value but quite small. If I was staying for longer I would upgrade to a bigger room but having said that our room was still comfortable and excellent for a short stay and to be fair it clearly says on the room details it was smaller. I would definitely stay again and this was great value for money compared to hotels some of our friends stayed in.

Excellent B&B in good central location. We were in room 6 which had a great sea view. The room was clean and well appointed with lovely extras alongside the tea and coffee. Breakfast was excellent - good range and well cooked. We were in Southend to see a band at the Cliffs Pavillion and it is only a 15 minute walk away from the B&B. Would also recommend The Flying Pasta in Shorefield Road near the Cliffs Pavillion for dinner.

It is a shame that there is no parking but this is the same for most B&Bs in Southend. We managed to park close by and at least the parking was free from 18.00 to 08.00- just have to remember to get a ticket in the morning!!

Lovely hotel with paid parking outside. The room was clean and little extra touches like snacks were provided , plenty of milk, tea and coffee etc. Bathroom was exceptionally clean with products including bath cap and vanitypack. Breakfast was very good with a range of jams marmite peanut butter, with the bread and a toaster, fresh fruit salad, yoghurts and cereals to which you helped yourself. Full English was great, egg cooked just how I like it, good sausages.

Wouldnt stay in the small Trafalger room again but it was the only room available when we booked.

Beautiful place, tastefully decorated. I had the balcony suite, which in summer would have been glorious - but equally lovely in winter with twinkling lights. Tea,coffee, biscuits, water, toiletries provided. Tv in sitting area as well as bedroom. Everything spotlessly clean. Breakfast hit the spot, and dining room beautifully decorated for Christmas. Warm welcome from owner, everything explained. Definitely going back!!

That I was only there for one night! Would have liked to stay longer. There was nothing you could fault.
