The thing that always puts me off about shared bathrooms is how manky it can get between guests but this was NOT the case here; LOVE the addition of a fresh bath mat for each guest. Nothing worse than being the last one to shower and standing on something sodden! Lovely, comfy beds. Smart TV for music on YouTube or other TV apps. Routers for strong signal. Close to the Kelpies for a quick journey and not too far from Edinburgh.

Pub seemed a little bit "Local pub for local people" at check in but can't be helped with the general public! Our room must have been some kind of store room; little room to hang clothes up as every wardrobe door and cupboard was packed with spare duvets. Ceiling light periodically flickered and completely went out a few times before we gave up on it and just used the table light!

Perfect place! Nice accomodation, spacious rooms, nice artworks on the walls. Do not worry that the bathrooms are shared, it was always very clean and tidy. Coffe, kettle and cookies provided in room. Friendly staff and lovely bar downstairs. When my mom told me that she would like an accomodation in some Scottish village, above a local bar with friendly staff and Scottish whiskey, I told her that she can only see that in movies, until I found this place. Its magical, Kelpies are in a walking distance, brilliant nature all around. Thank you for a wonderful experience

It was a big room with a very comfortable bed and large en suite shower room. Other rooms shared facilities which looked a good size. It was very clean with the room serviced every day. The room was just inside the front door so no stairs to negotiate. There is plenty of car parking at the rear and on the street outside.

The wifi wasn't working, or my laptop & phone couldn't get onto it. Not a real problem for me. There was a fair bit of traffic noise but being that close to the main road I should have expected it.

Very clean and comfortable room. Nice size en-suite and the shower had plenty of power. Basic but nice. The location is also very good as I had a banquet at the Macdonald hotel nearby and was only a 15 min walk and a third of the price.

The wifi in the room didn't work. When I questioned this, they already knew it didn't work - so why not fix it? Instead I got the password for the pub's wifi which was very slow, and meant I couldn't FaceTime my daughter or watch any films in the evening.

I was greeted by a charming and helpful Scottish lady named Elizabeth. The room was comfortable and clean and had all the facilities I needed, including a tv, wardrobe, electric kettle, clean towels and bedside light. Despite the fact that The Black Bull is a popular pub and I arrived on a Saturday, it was quiet and I had a good night's sleep. It is in a picturesque part of Scotland and the local people are friendly.

There is a shared bathroom - but this is kept very clean and has a good shower, basin and toilet.

Really friendly staff and comfortable room with everything I needed. Far enough away from the bar itself to not be bothered by the noise, but close enough to walk around in less than 10 seconds. 10/10 would stay again.

Not really much to report here. Polmont itself isn't the most exciting. I was staying for the motorbike racing at Knockhill, so the only thing I didn't like was having to get up out of the comfortable bed in the morning!

The room was huge and very comfortable and warm. We had a shared bathroom but this was fine and we never met anyone else on the way in or out. There were tea/coffee making facilities and plenty of storage and a supermarket nearby. The pub served drinks until midnight but it was still nice and quiet. Overall a pleasant stay.

We had our own en suite bathroom which was clean and tidy. The main door to our accommodation was round the side of the pub, so we didn’t have to go through the bar. Oat milk as part of the tea and coffee tray is a nice touch!

A few dead bugs inside the drawers meant I wouldn’t use them but we were only staying one night

It was quiet and the beds were very comfortable, appreciated the tea/coffee making facilities

There were no chairs in the room to put your clothes on, had to use my suitcase or the floor, there are no hooks of any kind or a stand so didn’t know what to do with the towels. No shower gel or any kind of soap is provided

Easy to find and plenty of parking. We arrived at nearly midnight but we were welcomed and shown to our rooms cheerfully. Room was clean and big. Shared bathroom wasn't a problem, it was clean and included some toiletries. Room had tea and coffee facilities.

Nothing, it was absolutely fine for what what we needed. Could hear the pub music but it wasn't disruptive.
